hi!
we are from Sheffield, England. We are 25/26 and have been together for 7 years. We are travelling to have a big adventure and explore and experience as much as we can!
We have travelled a lot in the past. Jas first travelled without her family at the age of 11 with a charity (CISV), for a month in Austria - I have also solo travelled to Chile and China.
Henry has been to India as a teenager and did some interrailing at 18 through eastern Europe - I'm super excited to be back and showing Jas around!
This will be our first big adventure together and we are using workaway for the first time.
We are keen to give back to the places we are passing through - we always do our best to learn the languages at least a little. Through workaway we hope to be able to help you with anything you need help with. We are happiest when we feel useful to you! We love meeting people and sharing stories and recipes. We would love to cook for you, or talk about anything and everything - no conversation is off the table!
Together as travellers we like to be spontaneous and flexible. There are places and times we don't want to miss (we have a friend going to Turkey in April and one in India in July) but we also like to take our time, enjoy the journey, and see what tomorrow brings. We work well together and with others and really look forward to learning about everything we can.Interests

I (Jas) have some experience as a teaching assistant in schools, 3 years in England and 3 months in Chile. I also have a degree in psychology and I am super interested in culture and language, and would love to share this interest with you! My experience as a teacher and my time spent in international communities means I can perhaps teach you about English if you'd like :) When it comes to learning, I know mostly Spanish or French, but I'm open to learning any language. I tend to pronounce things well but struggle to remember new words so you might have to remind me a few times!Skills and knowledge we'd like to share or learn

More details about your skills
I'm Jas and I have a degree in psychology. I have spent the last 2 years working in a school for children with social, emotional, and mental health problems. Before that, I worked in a different school, and also have international volunteering experience. My experience working with my hands is a little more limited but I can be a great DIY assistant according to my dad! I might lack a bit of experience but I don't lack enthusiasm and I am quick to learn. I am also quite creative and like making artsy things, I haven't expressed it much recently but in the past I've been in to painting, drawing, sculpting. I have a keen eye for detail and like to create with care and precision.
My name is Henry and I have practical experience working with my hands, whether that's in a restaurant, shop, barbers, landscaping and construction. I like to think I am a quick learner, eager to get hands on to make sure the job gets done. I love a bit of hard graft (work). Life is more enjoyable when you know you've worked hard for it. I also organise events and functions with friends so I am good at working in groups towards a shared goal. I am enthusiastic to learn and like a challenge, especially a physical one, and I am always ready to get stuck in.
We are super excited for this adventure and really hope you can be a part of our journey 💕Age

What else ...
Henry is a professional DJ in Sheffield and loves everything about music. If you like music too (of any kind) you're off to a good start!
We love history, philosophy, culture, science, geopolitics, nature, including foraging (safely!), climbing, hiking, animals...
We are really interested in learning about rural and ecological living, we have already been inspired by our workaway experience and need more knowledge so that perhaps we can do it ourselves one day... Maybe we can even host!
Unfortunately, I (Jas) have chronic fatigue syndrome, which is a disability that affects my energy levels. It is very mild, it hasn't been affecting me so much while travelling, and I can communicate and manage my flair ups. Henry is a hard- work addict though, so even if I'm having a flair up, he can definitely compensate in terms of work done.
it's hard to summarise yourself in so few words, maybe you'll just have to meet us to find out what we're like ;)Some more information
