Description
Hello :) I am Jana from Germany.
I am about to finish my master degree and before starting a new job in Januar 2025, I am planning to take some time off, preferably to spend a lot of time in nature.
Before I started my studies, I travelled through Australia, where I mostly worked on different farms. During that time I volunteered on a rice and sheep farm, did fruit picking and worked in a winery. Besides that, I helped out on a guest ranch in Alberta for a few weeks in 2018. I was totally impressed by the country, the Canadian culture and the people which is why I spent another 3 months in Canada in 2022. Now it's time to explore another country with great nature. This brings me to New Zealand :)
In my freetime I love to do sports like running, playing soccer and skiing. I used to do horse riding for more than 10 years. I would consider myself an open-minded person who is always ready to meet new people.
I am looking forward to a new great experience :)

I have spent a lot of time around horses in the last ten years which means I feel save in handling and tacking horses, mucking out stables and doing whatever is needed around horses. On my previous farm stays I have done various jobs such as fruit picking and packing, feeding cows, pigs and chickens, gardening, lawn maintenance, cleaning cabins and doing the laundry. But I am also always willing to learn new things. My current colleagues appreciate my reliability, my sociability and my work ethic.
