Hello workawayers,

we are Marla und Jan, both 26 years old, from Germany (Bochum). We are currently living in Puebla (Mexico) because Marla is doing an university exchange at the BUAP (University in Puebla) from January 23 to June 23. She is doing her Master`s in Social Sciences and Jan just finished his Master`s (chemical engineer) right before we left for Mexico.
During our time in Mexico we definitely fell in love with Meso-/ South America and would love to learn so much more about the culture, the people, the food and everything else. We could already travel in Mexico but cannot wait to explore more countries.
Marla`s semester ends by the beginning of June and we are planning to start a big trip afterwards. First we are trying to see a few more places in Mexico and afterwards we would like to travel more to the south of the continent (we have no fixed plans yet ;) ) until we have to go back to Germany by the end of september.

We can`t wait for all the new experiences!

We are both young, sporty and more than motivated to help with any kind of task! Marla already worked on a farm and helped with the animals (mainly horses and cows) as well as doing things like the household, cleaning, mucking out etc. She also used to ride almost her whole life and loves being around animals. We both grew up on the countryside with dogs (and cats) in our families - so we are definitely not afraid of any animals and love being in the nature. Jan especially loves doing some harder "garden" work and it takes a lot to make him tired ;). But we are very keen to help with any kind of work in the nature.

We have also basic cooking-skills, but used to live vegetarian in Germany (no worries, we are flexible during our trip) so our cooking skills belong more or less to vegetables.

We are both very open, social and love to meet new people and make new experiences!

German is our mother language but we are also fluent in english and have basic / advanced spanish skills.

And - in the case that this is important to you - we are also vaccinated :)
