Description
Hello! My name is Jakub. I am 24 years old guy from the Czech Republic, who wants to learn about (not only) sustainability and buildings through workaway.
For the past few years I have lived in Denmark where I have studied a bachelor degree as an Architectural Technologist. Along the way I have learned a lot by living abroad. Right now I have returned back to my home country to work in architectural office, however I still feel like I would like to travel to learn more about the world and acquire some practical skills.
My big interest are buildings and sustainability, and all the nitty gritty technical details in a house.
And I also think that it is improtant to build sustainably to improve our environment and I'd love to focus more on that in the future.
I also love photography and documenting the world around me in differnet shades of grain. Doesn't matter if its old analog or a new digital camera. If it can
capture photos I will try to use it and run around all day to capture few good photos.
When I was a teenager I used to spend a lot of time outside in a hiking club (similar to scout) where I have developed a relationship to nature. Since then I like to put on a heavy backpack and carry it from place to place, not forgetting my old metal camera dangling around my neck :)
Besides that, I also like art, music, collecting ceramic cups, drinking tea, journaling or just doodling. Just trying to find different ways to be present.
I joined workaway because I find it a great way travel more intentionally. I would like to meet people who live in a unique, sustainable ways, close to nature. I'd love to gain some real experience with building, renovation, and sustainable living, but I am also open to activities like gardening or farming. I dont mind any physical work - whether it's carrying boulders, chopping wood, helping in the garden, maintenance around the house or just cooking.
I am curious, positive and responsible person, always ready to lend a hand and to learn something new. I also have some experiences with volunteering,
from my participation in hiking clubs or my previous two workaways.

During his stay he cooked simple but tasty food and did heavy, physical garden work. He did a lot of digging, moving heavy stones around the garden and leveled a piece of land for us. All of this was done in a high sun, but he worked without complaining.
