Hello!
I’m Jakub, 23 years old, and I’ve just graduated as a Constructing Architect in Denmark. Starting in May 2025, I’m taking a gap year to discover new places, meet inspiring people, and learn new skills. I believe volunteering is a great way to do this, while contributing to local community.
With my (rather theoretical) background in construction and an interest in sustainability, I’m especially interested in meeting people who live in unique, sustainable ways, close to nature. I’d also love to gain a real experience with building, renovation, and sustainable living, but I’m equally open to activities like gardening or farming, which naturally go hand in hand with it.
I’m not afraid of any physical work – whether it’s helping in the garden, cooking in the kitchen, or assisting around the house. Lately, I’ve been really into photography and I would like to improve my skills. I’m curious, positive and responsible person, always ready to lend a hand and learn something new.
I also have some experiences with volunteering, working with children and working outdoors through my participation in a hiking club.
I’ll be available from May 2025, and I would like to explore Ireland and Scandinavia, but I am also open to other countries, depending on the project.

During his stay he cooked simple but tasty food and did heavy, physical garden work. He did a lot of digging, moving heavy stones around the garden and leveled a piece of land for us. All of this was done in a high sun, but he worked without complaining.
