Description
Hi, I’m Jack! I’m an avid skier with a deep love for the mountains and the thrill that comes with them—the fast thinking, turning them into a playground, and that feeling of being completely present in the moment. For me, skiing is more than a hobby; it’s a mindset. I try to carry that same sense of excitement and adventure into everyday life, whether I’m traveling somewhere new, learning a new skill, or stepping into unfamiliar situations.
I love exploring different cultures, trying new foods, and pushing myself out of my comfort zone. I’m someone who’s curious, adaptable, and always up for a challenge. I bring a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to get stuck in and help wherever needed. I’m excited by opportunities to meet new people, share experiences, and make the most out of every environment I’m in. -

Japanese: BeginnerMore details about my language interests
I tried whilst travelling around Japan I tried learning as much Japanese as I could even just basic phrases to help others understand me a little better, it really helped travelling around and trying to order and interact with locals, however where I lived my last two winters up in Hokkaido it was quite difficult to maintain the use of it as it’s rare to be served or spoken to in Japanese there, so I lost a lot of my conversational skills in Japanese, but living in a big city or somewhere more rural I would love to pick some more back up! -

More details about your skills
I come from a strong academic background, having studied Physics, Biology, and Psychology at A-level before completing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. This has given me a solid understanding of how people think and interact, along with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm and adaptable in different situations.
As the oldest of three brothers, I’ve had plenty of hands-on experience with childcare, especially helping to look after my youngest sibling. This has made me patient, responsible, and confident managing different personalities and situations from a young age.
Alongside my studies, I bring over seven years of experience in hospitality. I’m confident working with the public, providing good service, and helping create a positive environment for guests. I’m no stranger to hard work—whether that’s cleaning, staying organised, or stepping in wherever help is needed to keep things running smoothly.
I also have a real passion for cooking and enjoy learning how to make dishes from different cultures. I like experimenting with new flavours and continuously improving my skills in the kitchen.
I’m fairly handy with bikes, having grown up riding and racing them, so I’m comfortable helping with basic maintenance or getting involved where needed. While I haven’t been able to ride as much recently due to an injury, I’m still confident on and around them and keen to get back into it. I also have a strong interest in cars and enjoy being around them, even though I’m still building my practical knowledge.
Overall, I’m practical, hardworking, and adaptable, with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. I’m always happy to get involved, take initiative, and contribute wherever I can. -
