Travelling
Description
Kia ora! I'm taking a break from my career (Data Science) to travel the world, and now I'm back to travel in my own beautiful country! I hosted workaway with my ex partner for 2 years which can still be viewed here:

I was lucky enough to be able to personally repay the favor to some of my workaways by helping them the following year in France and Germany! I grew up on a Blueberry orchard in the Bay of Islands, New Zealand, where my parents hosted Wwoofers and workaways for over twenty years. Growing up with so many friendly travelers had a lasting impact on me, so having grown tired of the never ending 9 to 5 grind - I decided to set out on my own little adventure!Interests

More details about your skills
Gardening:
I was a professional gardener while I was studying at University, and have kept chickens, grown vegetables and maintained a large garden ever since.
Culinary and Hospitality:
I'm a keen (and apparently reasonably good) home cook, always experimenting with different ingredients and cuisine from around the world. I absolutely love hosting friends and family, which ties nicely into two of my other passions: Coffee and cocktails - having spent a total of 4 years (on and off) working as a barista and running a small cafe.
Construction and Maintenance:
Basic woodworking and construction (I built my own kitchen)
Basic metalworking (cutting, grinding and welding)
Property maintenance and renovation (owned and renovated a house for 4 years)
Volunteer work:
I was with the Royal New Zealand Coastguard, Bay of Islands unit for 3 years, obtaining my Day skipper, Boat masters, Marine VHF Operator and Marine Medic Qualifications. We participated in Search and Rescue, retrieval, escort, and of course - lots of fundraising.
Photography and Videography:
I describe myself as a professional amateur, this is my most active hobby and I often find myself volunteering my services as a photographer or videographer for friends, car shows, family reunions, festivals, and events.I am proficient in Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, and Premiere pro - so I can produce high quality videos and photographic products.

Data, systems and business analysis; SAS Development; Business communication; Technical writing; Stakeholder engagement; Project management; Political Science; Strategic studies/International Relations; Environmental Science; Product management and Scrum master.Age
