Hi, I'm Ishbel and I love exploring different corners of the world. I've been lucky enough to experience lots of different places, mainly as a tourist, but also a volunteer. I love the outdoors and being active - as well as cups of tea, as you may be able to tell from my pictures... I like the odd day or two as a beach bum, but love the idea of exploring new places by meeting new people and learning new skills or using my know-how (even if limited), hence why I think workaways are a great idea.
Currently a Sport Science PhD student, but would love to learn and imerse myself in anything that takes my fancy. I'm sure a little distraction from my laptop will improve my work :)

I did study French for 8 years at school, but once I moved from Switzerland to the UK, I lost a lot of my French. Would love to improve my French again. Also, happy to help anyone who fancies improving their English or German, although I must warn you that I grew up speaking Swiss German (a dialect).

Generally, I am really motivated to learn new things and love a good project.
My main expertise is in the area of sports. Although not a qualified PT, I'd like to think I know a little about exercise, health and nutrition.
I also have experience in dog sitting, although my boyfriend is definitely every dogs favourite - not sure how to change that. I grew up with cats, mice, hamsters and guinepigs, so feel really comfortable around most animals, with a sensible amount of respect for them.
I love painting (walls, wood, anything really), I spent most of my summer holiday repainting my bedroom. We have also done up, or at least changed, the inside of a small campervan, so I know how to use basic diy tools too.
My green fingers may or may not be existent. I don't have much experience gardening (we live in a flat in a city - not ideal), but this is a skill I would love to develop :)
