Description

Hey there, my name is Isabel, I’m 22 years old and from Germany. I’m currently doing an apprenticeship in office management/office administration, I also work part-time in a cafe.

My main travel goal is Canada, as I have always wanted to visit and experience what everyday life there is really like. I would love to really live there for a while, help out and learn from local people.

I enjoy spending time outdoors, going for walks and hiking. I also really like reading (especially thriller & novels), listening to music and enjoy doing things with my friends. I really love animals and enjoy being around them. When I was younger, I spent some time on a farm where I helped take care of an alpaca, which I really enjoyed. Growing up, I also had chickens, rabbits and a dog, so I’m used to daily animal care and feel comfortable around different animals. Because of this, I would be very happy to help on a farm and learn even more about working with animals. I also have some basic experience with gardening, household tasks and helping where needed and I’m happy to learn new practical skills.

I would describe myself as friendly, calm and ambitious. I like learning new things, trying new experiences and stepping outside my comfort zone. At the beginning — especially in English — I can be a little shy, but once I get to know people I become open, talkative and easy to live with.

My English is not perfect yet, but I really want to improve it and I’m motivated to practice every day. I’m not afraid of getting my hands dirty and I always try to do my best.

I’m looking forward to meeting new people, supporting my hosts and having a great cultural exchange :)

My English is still a work in progress and I sometimes need a bit of help with sentence structure and verb tenses. I can also be a little shy when speaking at first, but I’m very motivated to improve and practice every day. I really appreciate any patience or help with my English, and in return I would be happy to help with German if that’s useful.

I have experience with general household tasks such as cleaning, organising, laundry and cooking. Through my apprenticeship in office management I am organised, responsible and reliable.

I also work part-time as a waitress, which has helped me become friendly, patient and comfortable working with people, even in busy situations.

Growing up, I had chickens, rabbits and a dog, and I also spent time on a farm helping to care for an alpaca, so I feel comfortable around animals and with daily animal care. I also have some basic experience with gardening and outdoor tasks.

I also completed short internships in a kindergarten and in a retirement home, where I supported the staff and helped with everyday tasks. These experiences helped me become patient, responsible and comfortable working with different people.

When I was younger, my family renovated an old house and I helped with various tasks such as removing wallpaper, painting walls, helping with demolition work and general renovation tasks.

I’m a fast learner and always willing to try new things. Even if I don’t have experience in something yet, I’m motivated to learn and help wherever needed.

I really appreciate clear communication and I always try to do my best and be helpful. Even if something is new to me, I’m motivated to learn and not afraid of practical work or getting my hands dirty.

I’m very excited about the chance to experience real life in Canada, spend time in nature and learn from my hosts while contributing as much as I can.

By the way: I may be a little shy at the beginning, especially in English, but once I feel comfortable I am open, talkative and enjoy connecting with people. I’m very motivated to have a positive experience for both my hosts and myself.
