Hii there!
I'm Irvana, a 27 y/o Dutchie who never gets enough of traveling. I enjoy discovering new languages, cultures and obviously the food. When I was 16 I did my first internship abroad and lost my heart to traveling but also to hospitality. Ever since I'm working in this field and I'm absolutely loving it. To give your guests the best experience, to be their home away from home and to be their friend when needed.
The past years I've volunteered on a Horse Ranch, Eco-Farm and Hostel. All in the beautiful country of Mexico. Here I've learned some Spanish but im far from fluent!
I enjoy diving, horse riding, hiking, yoga, cooking classes, surfing, animals, gardening... you name it, as long as it is outside. Love meeting new people and hearing their background stories.
I truly believe we as humans, are not on this planet to work 40 hours a week just to pay for our rental apartments and that's why I love the idea of a workaway!

I would say my expertise is hospitality.
Welcoming guests, making sure they're having a good time. Checking in/out, reservation systems, e-mail/phone calls you name it.
Also lots of experience in housekeeping, babysitting, being a barista and some horse riding.

I was there before the opening and together with a bunch of other volunteers we prepared the hostel for the opening.
It was super fun and the volunteers but also the owners where so nice! We did lots of activities together and we all felt very welcome and became close in such a short period of time.… read more
I stayed 2 weeks together with my friend Amy and we helped them with a variety of jobs.
We were there during a Tierra course and therefore it was super busy at the Ranch. Prior to this event there needed to be a LOT of grass to be cut, which was a bit repetitive from time to time but seeing what it was… read more
