Hello beautiful people!

My name is Ida, I'm an adventurous Slovenian soul.
I love to discover new places and connect with other people around the world. Meeting new people and learning their way of life is always so interesting for me. I completed my Bachelor's degree in ethnology, cultural anthropology, and art history.

After finishing the university, I went to the Middle East with a one-way plane ticket and a small backpack. Instead of school, my teacher became the world: traveling companions, locals and countless experiences. On my travels I am discovering the beauty of the world, and I do various voluntary work among my way.

After more than three years later, I am still on the road:)

About me :) I am a very positive, sociable, sporty, flexible, open-minded woman. As an anthropologist I am able to create beautiful connections with people of all ages and nationalities and feel comfortable in different working and living situations. I'm creative in arts and crafts. I am very passionate about scuba diving! I am a scuba diving instructor and exploring underwater world means everything to me. I also enjoy all kinds of art, good reggae music, latino dances and learning about indigenous communities. I dance very good salsa and bachata:)

Divemaster in Honduras. March-May 2023.
- leading certified divers on an underwater adventure, loading-preparing gear, help in the dive office to check in divers

Tour Guide for San Blas Adventures, Columbia. November-January 2023.
- Guided snorkel trips and educated guests about marine biodiversity. Worked as a crew member on four-day trips from Columbia to Panama. Collaborated with the local Kuna community to maintain a positive relationship and minimize the environmental impact of tours.

Outside crew at RCD camp, New Hampshire. June-September 2022.

Permaculture Farmer in Zanzibar, Egypt, and Palestine. May 2021, January, and April 2022. (workaway)
- Supported sustainable agriculture projects by maintaining a tropical garden, creating compost, planting trees, and saving seeds to conserve biodiversity and support healthy soil.

Camp Counselor at Summer Camp in Croatia. August 2020 and 2021.
- Guided and planned activities for groups of eight teenage students from underprivileged families at a ten-day sleepaway camp. Taught watersport activities, including paddleboarding, swimming, and snorkeling to beginner students.

Sailor and Videographer for MEDland Project, Greece. July 2021. (workaway)
- Created short documentaries about sustainable agriculture, ecotourism, and food forests to inspire the conservation of biodiversity and educate the audience about healthy ecosystems. Worked as a crew member while sailing around the Mediterranean for one month.

- Promoted the family-run business by creating engaging social media content and informative videos. Engaged with the local community by painting buildings, cooking, and exchanging knowledge.

Coordinator of Photography, Social Media, and Public Relations for Sticna Mladih Festival, Slovenia. January-September 2020.
- Collaborated with the director to plan and promote the upcoming festival. Managed photography and communications staff to produce engaging promotional content.

My first volunteer work was in Crete (decorating, renovating, and physical work at Yoga retreat) and afterthat in Mocambique (teaching children).

My student job through university was being a hostess in the biggest cultural center in Slovenia. I love and I am very good at working with people.

I also have good artistic skills. I finished an art high school and I'm very passionate about painting, sewing and taking photos.

In Middle East I was promoting DJ music festival in Wadi Rum (Jordan), working with tourists in desert Wadi Rum and helping at hostel reception (Jordan-Petra) and painting murals. (workaway)

Spending that month with Ida was fun and light with a big sense of being supported… my daughters loved her… the little one and the teenager!… she would always be ready to play and help with a big smile… I loved her company… find her a very special person… very thankful to having met her!

Ida or Natasha as i used to call her joined me for 2 weeks at the farm where she showed a high level of commitment, understanding, good communication, flexibility & nice spirit.
Was a real pleasure having her with me, she did many tasks such as feeding the animals, weeding, decorating volunteers space, some tasks with olive trees and more.
