Description

Hi! I'm Ian. I used to be a student in the Netherlands, but I got the traveling bug. Helping others and meeting new people makes my day! I have experience in hostels, and worked in a nursing home for 3 years. I love music and am a mentor for pupils at my orchestra, where I play the trumpet. I hope to meet you some day!

I got a diploma for a VWO-education in the Netherlands, which is the highest level after primary education. In addition to this, I took classes in Latin.

I am a native Dutch speaker, but I am also proficient in English. I can and would like to teach these languages to other people. I know how to sing, play the ukulele and play the trumpet.

As the oldest brother to 6 siblings, I enjoy interacting with kids. I have also gained a lot of skills from my side job as waiter and cleaner in a nursing home, where I loved to chat with the residents while doing the dishes or cleaning.

I could also help with painting or cooking, although I have less experience with those tasks.

I love games, especially card games or other strategy games. I know how to play chess, but I am not able to beat very seasoned players.

I'm trying to write or compose songs in my free time.

I like reading books, especially fantasy or detectives.
