  • More details about your skills

I'm an experienced workawayer so I know how to jump in and help out with almost any kind of task. I'm mostly into farm life but I'm open-minded so I love learning new things!

I live in Iceland on a big farm, where I take care of the horse training, stable management and tour guiding. We have sheep, around 100 horses, a dog, a cat, chickens and rabbits, so I'm used to lots of animals to take care of in any weather. I have 20 years of horse experience (young horse training, did competitions, dressage, jumping, shows and gaited horses), but learning never ends of course. I am calm, confident, consistent, and know how to take guests on trail rides in several languages. I've been teaching the new summer team the routes, horse riding skills and guiding safety for the last 3 years.

Furthermore, I know how to organise things, take care of social media, work with customers etc as I have done all of these for previous jobs mostly in the hospitality industry. I am also into sustainability stuff; I would love to learn more about (organic) farming and off-grid living/self-sufficiency. Physical work in the outdoors is no problem. I love being on the water but don't often have the opportunity to go sailing/boating, so if you have a boat, please let me know!

I've done lots of babysitting, cleaning and cooking as well as tutoring so I can help out in the (guest)house if needed. Happy to do and learn anything that's needed as long as there is a positive environment. If you have any questions about my experiences or background, please don't hesitate to ask. :)

NB: I have a driving license for cars & trailers/caravans etc. (BE)
    I don't smoke, and don't have allergies.
