  • Description

    Hey there,
I’m Doro, a student from the heart of Germany with a deep curiosity for the world and the people in it. After finishing school, I took a gap year traveling through East Africa, Eastern Europe, and parts of Western Europe, which strongly shaped my desire for cultural exchange and meaningful travel.

I am currently studying Education (Biology & Sport) in Berlin to become a teacher. Alongside my studies, I am always looking for opportunities to learn outside the classroom, through hands-on experiences, community life, and cultural immersion. I love meeting new people, discovering different ways of living, and staying open to whatever new skills or perspectives I can learn along the way.

I already have experience with the Workaway community, including projects in Morocco and Panama. In addition, I have worked in different educational and social projects with children. I have also spent time in Chile, where I traveled independently, got to know the culture closely, and gained teaching experience in a school. Latin American culture has grown very close to my heart. At the same time, I have never been to Asia before and would love to broaden my horizon, experience new forms of diversity, and step into a completely new cultural context.

My skills range from teaching languages and working with children to creative and physical activities. I love dancing various street styles, painting, designing, handcrafting, DIY projects, and cooking or baking. I am also very interested in nature, animals, plants, and outdoor sports, and I enjoy being active and working with my hands. Through my studies, I have developed a strong interest in biology and science, especially when it connects to real life, sustainability, and education.

I speak German, English, and Spanish actively, and I have basic knowledge of Swahili, Arabic, and Russian. I am always open and motivated to learn new languages. Cultural and language exchange is one of the aspects of traveling that excites me most.

I would describe myself as open-minded, responsible, easy-going, flexible, and proactive. I adapt easily to new environments, enjoy simple living conditions, and love helping wherever I am needed. While I am always eager to learn from others, I am also confident that I can give something meaningful back to any project or community I join.

I’m excited to continue traveling, learning, teaching, creating, and sharing experiences that truly matter — and to make more memories that last a lifetime together with people around the world.

    Looking forward to meeting you:)
