Hello, I'm Hugo, and I've spent the past 24 years as an accomplished professional within the maritime business, dedicated to exploring the depths of the industry.

In 2023/24, I'm embarking on a long-awaited sabbatical, and I couldn't be more thrilled about it. My passion for education and languages is what fuels my desire to delve into the fundamental aspects of humanity and our planet Earth.

I firmly believe that genuine human interaction is the cornerstone of personal growth and development.

What truly ignites my enthusiasm is my deep love for animals, and my preferred way of immersing myself in the essence of each place I visit is by diving into its unique culture.

I never approach travel as a mere tourist; I see myself as a respectful visitor, eager to engage with the local community.

Moreover, I have a special affinity for children, as I firmly believe they are the foundation of our future. My interactions with them often leave a profound impact on me, and I cherish the opportunity to learn from their innocence and curiosity.

I have a knack for connecting with people, and I relish the opportunity to exchange thoughts and experiences with fellow travelers and locals wherever I go.

While I'm naturally extroverted and enjoy having fun, I hold respect as one of my core values and treat others the way I wish to be treated.

I am fluent in Spanish, Italian, and English, and though my French might be a bit rusty, I'm excited to brush up on it with a little practice. Learning German is also on my list of ambitions!
