    Honour's Section:

Hello! I’m Honour, I’m 24 years old. I’m excited to be part of the Workaway community! 🌍📸🐴🌿

I’m originally from the UK, but I’ve had the privilege of working and exploring in some incredible places, including Canada, where I’ve spent the past two years working as a Marine Naturalist for a whale watching company in Vancouver. I not only had the opportunity to educate guests about marine life and ecosystems whilst also capturing photographs of whales and other wildlife, but I also got to share my passion for the ocean with guests and contribute to environmental conservation.

Before that, I graduated university with a First Class Honours Degree in Editorial and Advertising photography. After I graduated I worked as the official in house photographer for Comic Relief, one of the UK’s largest and most impactful charitable organisations. My role took me across the country, visiting different charities and bringing their stories to life through photography. This experience deepened my understanding of how storytelling can drive social change, and it fuelled my passion for using my skills to create a positive impact in the world.

One of my biggest passions is animals and I’ve worked with horses for over 16 years. I’ve worked on hunt and event yards, riding a variety of horses from youngsters, hunters to eventers. I’ve also worked as a dog sitter and walker and I’m very comfortable training both dogs and horses.

When I’m not working or horse riding, you’ll find me hiking, climbing, painting, gardening, or swimming. I’m passionate about staying active and spending time outdoors and have a big love for cold water dips!
One of my fondest memories was summiting Kilimanjaro back in 2019 for a charity called Dig Deep. It was one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. I really enjoy pushing myself out of my comfort zone and trying to achieve new goals!

    Joe's section:

Hi! I’m Joe, I’m 24 years old. I’m an adventurous and hardworking individual passionate about exploring new places, meeting people, and learning about different cultures. I work as a photographer mostly doing wildlife work, I’ve spent the past 2 years working as a multi media content creator and marine naturalist for the past year in Vancouver. My Instagram is @peacock_joe_I enjoy climbing, hiking, diving, and teaching anything to do with the outdoors. Come rain or shine I’m always eager to share my skills whilst picking up new ones.

I have extensive experience as a photographer and videographer. I’ve created and managed multimedia content that showcases the natural beauty and biodiversity of British Columbia and I have a degree in Marine and Natural History Photography. Before that, I worked in winter maintenance for Vancouver’s biggest ski hill, Cypress Mountain and worked as a beach lifeguard for 6 years for one of the UK's largest charities, the RNLI. Because of this I am really comfortable adapting to different environments. Whether it’s helping with building projects, content creation, Farm or animal work, or working with a team, I’m committed to giving my best.

When I’m not working, I love to be outside either being in or around water or up in the mountains. I'm a PADI Rescue Diver with 7 years of diving behind me with a deep passion for the underwater world. When I'm not in the water I love to go hiking or climbing, some of my earliest and fondest memories I have are hiking with my family.

Looking forward to connecting and contributing to your project!
