Hello! I’m Hikari from Japan.

I’m currently in Ireland on holiday, looking for a volunteer opportunity anytime between now and mid-September.
I’d like to improve my English and talk with people from different backgrounds.
I’d love to share thoughts and ideas, hear different perspectives, and take time to reflect on my future.

I’m someone who enjoys both quiet time and physical activity. Sometimes I go bodyboarding after a long shift, or drive hours to go snowboarding in the mountains. Other times, I’m happy staying home, sewing or crocheting in peace.

Through Workaway, I hope to experience local life, connect with kind people, and broaden my view of the world—and of myself.

I have over 8 years of experience in hospitality, including hotels, restaurants, and cafes across Japan.
I’ve worked in guest service, reception, cleaning, and food preparation, and I enjoy helping people feel comfortable and welcome.

I’m also used to physically demanding jobs—like cooking for large groups, working in factories, and doing seasonal work in different regions. I’m not afraid of hard work and I enjoy staying active.

I studied culinary arts in college, so I’m comfortable with basic cooking and kitchen work. I’d be happy to cook some Japanese food for you if you like!

I’m reliable, flexible, and quick to adapt to new environments. I always try to be kind and thoughtful toward others, and I enjoy working in a team.
