Hello,
we are a young family - Jakub and Hana and our kids Maya and Ronja. We are from Czech republic.

We were travelling before we had kids - volunteering at farms , hitch - hiking through Europe and we would like to continue travelling as a family. We think getting to know different cultures, different habits and being in the community of people is good not only for us but also our kids.

We both speak English and bit of spanish.

Hana worked in the kindergarden, currently she is home taking care of kids. She likes to paint, cook, bake and eat good food.

Jakub was working in the theatre for kids. He worked there as a stage technician, musician, song writer and actor as well. He loves music and plays the guitar,banjo,ukulele, drums etc. Now he works as a gardener, and he has very good craftmanship skills. Able to settle or manage a permaculture garden, got experience with natural house building, love to do any carpentery work.

Maya is four years old, she adores animals, loves to sing and dance . She might be a bit shy at first. Ronja is one year old.

We would love to have a tiny farm one day, so we are really looking forward to do something about sustainable living, bulding ecological house..
For us workaway is not just a way to travel and meet new people but also learn a lot.

SUNSHINE ENERGY X 2 = INFINITE

Huge Jakub came out of the car to greet us, with an even huger smile, saying how thankful they were for taking us in this beautiful place for such a meaningful project. So polite, so kind. We named him "San Jacobo" : )

And the kids brought up very funny and interesting for eduacation talk moments together : )

They helped SO much. Burying a solar panel´s cable, drilling on wall, opening up a path, ordering wood, transporting heavy stuff, cleaning outdoor and indoors, fixing the cooking stove and other things small and big... Both super patient and really good communicators and listeners, and, a super star ingredient: THE MUSIC. Jakub´s music was so cool and fun ; ) We all danced a lot!!!! : ) : ) : ) And he is so devoted to having children experiment with his instruments and letting them learn with whatever help from him they might want...

Also they provided really good insights and help of how to bring the volunteer project forth in the most efficient way, since they had been interacting with some very experienced workaway hosts : )

This tiny one star just dropped because after their use and their leaving some things were found in not a so optimal state, and this gave us a bit of extra work: the vaccum cleaner did not vacuum and, after many hours trying yet not finding out how to fix it, rendered to be super stuck with pieces of toys and food and general big stuff from their adventure here... we learn to give only the broom for families ; ) And some other little mysteries yet unsolved wich have taken a bit of "after time" to be able to understand or mend.

Our eating and children-sleeping schedules and habits were quite different, so we could not have SO much time together. Yet we still made it happen by appointing and preparing some special eating together times, in which we could all enjoy either Check or Spanish deliciousness : )

Their previous experience in living without electricity or running water made their stay super smooth and cero demanding in the yet "before the well" times they came in. Even had no lights one day due to a solar batteries problem and they were so cool and resolutive about it : ) They knew how to enjoy little pleasures like creating for themselves a hot bath in a huge bucket in front of the super warm gas stove -that actually made their tiny house a lot cozier than ours in the coldest winter days : )

Come any time, for workaway or for a real job in a well prepared concert ; ) Cris told me to write is is a fan of your "tired parents" music group now Jakub ; ) Thanks for the CDs : )

Chantal and Ybo are great, easy going people, we really enjoyed our stay at their place. We felt really blessed to have amazing cabin for ourselfs with kitchen, hot shower and everything we need. The valley has breath taking view on the mountains,amazing nature around, great for hiking or climbing ,truly magical place.

We had a great time during our stay at Aline's and Phillip's place. They are very inspiring people and their kids are awesome , they spend really nice time with our kids. Jakub helped us a lot by pruning olives trees, as a gardener he coukd also show us how to do it so it was very useful!
And we had good moments both families together, around the fire in the evening or around the house and on the beach! 🙏🙏🙏
