Hello! My name is Haku, and I’m a science teacher from Japan.

I love creating fun and meaningful learning experiences for children. My passion is to combine education and entertainment, so that learning becomes something exciting and unforgettable.

I am currently traveling around the world with the goal of living like a local, connecting with people, and learning from different cultures and education systems. I believe that real learning happens through experience and human connection.

What makes me happy is seeing children smile, become curious, and enjoy learning. I also enjoy talking with people, sharing ideas, and building genuine relationships.

We were delighted to host Shogo (Haku), a Workawayer from Japan, who stayed and worked with us from 8th June 2026 to 29th June 2026. Haku is a cheerful, friendly, and inspiring young individual with an excellent personality.
The academy: A 10-day interactive Summer Camp was conducted by him for students of Classes 6 to 12 from 10th of June to … read more 25th of June. The workshop began with a fun introductory quiz and successfully blended Japanese culture, language, art, and science through hands-on learning experiences. Students explored Anime and Manga making through quizzes, discussions and storytelling activities. They learned basic Japanese scripts and expressions, practiced writing their names in Japanese, and interacted with Japanese students through Zoom meeting. Origami sessions introduced the art of paper folding while highlighting its connections to geometry, mindfulness, and world peace. Engaging games such as Fruit Basket, Thao, and chopstick challenges encouraged teamwork, communication, and fine motor skills.
Science sessions followed the approach of “Predict, Explain, Try Again,” making learning both exciting and meaningful. Students participated in experiments such as Elephant’s Toothpaste, slime making, can crushing, water rocket launching, cloud formation in a bottle, paper plane testing, and bubble-making activities, helping them understand scientific concepts through observation and practice. The workshop also included a cooking session where students prepared Onigiri rice balls with various fillings, and some even tried making Sushi. Haku’s learning-by-doing approach fostered curiosity, creativity, scientific thinking, and cross-cultural understanding, leaving a lasting impression on both students and teachers.

Yash Vidya Mandir: Yash Vidya Mandir had the wonderful opportunity to welcome Mr. Haku, a Japanese Science Teacher, for an enriching and memorable interaction with our students on 29th of June. In Class 2, he taught Japanese counting in a fun and interactive way. The students enjoyed the activity and participated with great enthusiasm. In Class 7 he shared fascinating insights about Japanese culture, food, and language. The session was highly interactive, and students were excited to learn about Japan. In Class 9, Mr. Haku introduced students to Origami and engaged them in creative craft activities, which helped them explore a new art form. Mr. Haku’s visit was a wonderful learning experience for both students and the management. It created a memorable opportunity for cultural exchange, creativity, and joyful learning.
We sincerely thank him for sharing his knowledge, experiences, and culture with our school community. His commitment to education and global understanding is truly commendable. We wish him continued success in all his future endeavors and hope he continues to inspire and positively impact lives wherever he goes.

In conclusion, I absolutely loved this school.
I stayed here for about three weeks and had the opportunity to teach for 11 days.
Since it was the students’ summer vacation, there were originally no regular classes. However, the school kindly organized a special summer camp just for my visit, and I am truly grateful for that.
