  • Description

Hi folks! We are couple … of besties! We are from the UK and are travelling New Zealand together on working holiday Visas. We met at uni whilst studying our ecology and conservation degrees and have a deep love and appreciation for all things nature! We are both hard-working and fast learners. Here is a little about us both:

I’m Greer! I am 25 years old and from the Lake District in the UK. I recently finished my masters (specialising in soil science) and felt like it was time to see the world, meet some new fantastic people, and learn some more practical skills. I’m an open-minded, happy, chatty, enthusiastic and energetic extrovert. I love animals and meeting people! I’m particularly interested in gardening, permaculture, working within a farming/ eco-environment scene, and outdoor recreation. I love to go hiking, camping, rock climbing, and swimming - but I also enjoy painting and knitting in my down time! I grew up doing odd-DIY jobs with my dad, and have some experience working on sheep farms and stables, but I am game for anything and everything, and I would love to learn more and improve my construction skills. I have experience working in cafes and pubs, and also have a drivers licence, and my own car.

I’m Tara, I’m 25 and I grew up in Oxford. After finishing my masters (focussed on rewilding) I worked for a couple years as a researcher for a small environmental conservation charity based in the UK. That was amazing, but after lockdown and staying inside for so long, I decided I wanted to travel and explore the world! I love getting to know people and building community through shared projects, and I get a lot of satisfaction out of a job well done. I love cooking and baking for people, learning about new cultures and languages, arts and crafts of all kinds, reading and writing (although I can’t promise my writing is any good - I can write you a funny poem), and all things nature. I was lucky enough to work in a zoo for a while and I love caring for animals and children (I am the oldest of five siblings!). I am happy to get stuck in with all sorts of messy projects.
