Description
We met in 2018 while travelling in New Zealand and have been married since 2022! We love to travel, discover new places, new cultures and meet new people.
We both really enjoy the outdoors (for fun or for work), especially hiking and rock climbing. Through our travels, we've found that what we enjoy the most is living with locals, sharing with them and learning from them, so we want to do more of that!

John:
When I'm not travelling, I'm usually a teacher. I have experience in teaching French (both as first and second language), English, math, German, geography and history for ages 8-adults and I love it! It's a beautiful challenge to try to find new ways to communicate. I have done my fair share of maintenance work, having completed courses in 'environment', 'sustainability' and 'use of chainsaw' (I know, it's random). I also have practical experience for general maintenance things, not only from working in environment protection in Switzerland but also when I was working with a non-profit in New Zealand. When I lived there, I was also involved in the creation of courses and activities for teenagers and young adults. I like problem-solving, especially when it can make people's lives better!
Grace:
I have been a barista for many years now and love the creative and social aspect of the job! I've spent a number of summers working at camp, working in kitchen prep, general maintenance and being a chaperone for the kids. I enjoy being able to work outside and do manual labour, whether it is gardening, crafts or general animal care. I would love to one day have a farm with lots of animals roaming around, big gardens and many creative projects! I also have experience with the outdoors in general— I worked in an outdoor gear store and went on many multi-day hiking trips and canoe trips.
