  • Description

    Hei people! I'm Glevis.
I'm 28 and I'm originally from Italy with Albanian roots. I have always lived among different cultures...which is probably what made me so interested about other countries.
I love learning languages, I speak 7 fluently and I'm currently learning Arabic and Chinese.

I've done different jobs and volunteering experiences until now, I've been a waitress, language teacher, cleaning service, sales assistant, babysitting, receptionist and librarian, interpreter, organizer of language exchanges, and my last workaway experience was in an ecological farm.
I like to experiment different jobs, different contexts, and learn or improve different skills.
I don't mind getting my hands dirty, actually I really enjoy physical work, learn how to build or fix things, gardening, or learn about how hostels or restaurants and bars work.

What would I do in my free time?

I like to backpack, camp, travel in harsh conditions, go for adventures, playing, especially with kids.
Take some papers and a pencil and go to somewhere to draw, riding on a bike without a destination until I end up in an interesting place, walking under the rain, climb on a tree.
In moments of lower energy I would just sit on a sofa and connect with the people around me, with a cup of tea or some good food (I like to cook and eat together with people, for me it is one of the greatest pleasures), or just read, write and think while laying on my bed.
I'm a quite joyful and extroverted person, but I also appreciate and need some moments of silence, to be on my own and connect with myself; and I respect other people's need for the same.
For me communication is one of the most important things. I'm quite empathetic and I like to really listen to what people have to say, as well as knowing how to express what I feel without hurting anyone.

In my previous travel experiences I' ve been an exchange student in Germany, living with a local family, which was a really enriching experience that started shaping my traveller personality.
Later I lived and studied in Belgium, China and in Morocco.
Currently I'm living in Spain, where I seem to have found my place.
I'm looking for a workaway in France or Germany because I would really like to improve my French and German and find out more about these countries and cultures, having met so many nice people from there I feel like I want to learn more about htese countries.

I am looking for a project where I can have a deep connection with nature. I am really interested in sustainable living, I strongly believe that we should all do our part in taking care of the earth.
Also I would really appreciate to share time with a family that could introduce me to their culture, food and language, have long chats around the table and share stories.
I hope to meet you soon and have the possibility to build new connections!
