I am currently an event planner for choir groups visiting Italy during the course of international music festivals.
I volunteered in Roots, a charity that provides electricity, running water, sanitary and hygiene products in a refugee camp in Dunkerque, France.
I have a deep understanding of marine organisms and ecosystems as a result of my previous working experiences and studies. I gathered and analysed data on codfish reproduction in Norway as part of my thesis dissertation for my master degree in Marine Biology, I volunteered in animal rescue centers specialised in sea turtles and local italian wildlife after graduation, and eventually found work as an aquarist and tour guide in the same aquarium.
I am an Advanced Open Water Scuba Diver and 1st dan Karate practitioner.
I enjoy hiking, outdoor activities and working out
Occasionaly, I offer private lessons in english.
Overall, my skills include:
- animal handling and caring, food preparation and feeding, cleaning and maintainance of their enclosures, tanks etc, doing water analyses and giving treatments, working in a team, knowing how to operate their Life Support System if present, capture, transportation, acclimatization and/or eventual liberation of wild animals, dismantling and relocating wildlife rescue center facilities, furniture and equipment
- lab work, scientific writing, data gathering, statystical analyses, searching for sources
- chaperoning, managing, entertaining and educating visitors, tourist groups and school groups, knowing how to work and cooperate with hotels, accomodation facilities and transport services while following schedules
- familiarity in working in humanitarian aid, group management and teamwork
- ideating educational games, arts and craft activities and lessons for kids and schools
- use of simple informatic tools like Excel, Word, etc
- tutoring and teaching languages and sciences
- scuba diving, hiking, self defense and undertaking physical challenges
