About Me

Hi! My name is Garance, I'm a 24-year-old historian from France, specialized in medieval Norway (yes, I can even read Old Norse!). I'm planning to travel to Iceland in June and would love to help out on a farm or with babysitting or anything else !

I'm an independent, handy person who enjoys physical work and learning new skills. In France, I took part in the construction of a small eco-friendly house made of wood and straw-earth, which was a very rewarding experience. I've already done several Workaway stays in Germany, Sweden, and Norway, where I helped with gardening, animal care, house maintenance, and childcare. I love being in nature and don't mind getting my hands dirty.

I speak fluent English, pretty good German, and I can also speak some Swedish. I enjoy cultural exchange, sharing stories, and adapting to new environments. I'm reliable, calm, and always respectful of the rules and routines of the households I join.

Ich kann Analogfotografie und ich interessiere mich für alle Kunstprojekte. Ich mag Handarbeit - und ich lerne sehr schnell ! Letzten Sommer habe ich in einem kleinen Hof gearbeitet, wo ich um eine Schafherde gekümmert habe, und einen Gemüsegarten angebaut. Ich habe auch schon mit Kindern gearbeitet.
