  • Description

I'm Marie, 26, from Berlin and I've been studying in Leipzig for six years.
I'm an open-minded and funny person, always up for a bit of fun, a city girl but love being in the nature, like to travel without flying and have spent a lot of time at festivals over the last few summers.
I am currently on a vacation semester and have spent the last three months on an organic farm, where I learned a lot about regenerative methods. It was great and I would love to learn more and gain more experience with organic vegetable farming, permaculture and agroforestry systems.
It was also great to meet so many new people and to live in a community with a common project.
Before the new semester starts, I want to combine vacation, working with my hands and getting to know lovely people. That's why I'd love to support a workaway project that involves organic farming, permaculture and maybe even agroforestry systems.
I'm looking forward to meet new people and learn lots of new things :)

I’m Gabriel, a 23-year-old from South Tyrol, Italy.
I was born into an adventurous family that loves to travel around the world and see new places. Now that I’m old enough I can’t wait to go on my own adventures and start living stories to tell. As I was raised in the mountains of northern Italy and spent lots of time outdoors, my connection with nature is very profound and it fascinates me every time what it is capable of.
As I finished my technical high school, I decided to move to Vienna and start studying Environmental and Civil Architecture. These two passions of mine and the knowledge I got from working with my father on his biological vegetable site, are strong drivers for me to improve my skills in farming and also building.
Since my childhood, I worked and helped out in different family ventures. I’m prone to physical work as well to use my brain and knowledge to solve tasks and problems.
I’m a sporty person, I love cooking and eating and I have a passion for building and carpeting. In my free time, I like to go climbing and doing different outdoor activities. As I like traveling like many people, and I’m very interested in learning new things and skills, travel and work is a great opportunity to combine these two things and meet new interesting people and maybe find new friends.

  • More details about your skills

I went to a Waldorf school where we often went to farms as part of school trips and helped out there and also spent three weeks doing work experience on a farm. So I have always gained experience in organic farming.
I spent the last three months learning about regenerative methods on a farm and helped to establish a new agroforestry system and maintain an existing one. I really enjoyed it, but of course you can't learn as much as you would like to in three months. This means that I am very open-minded and motivated to learn even more about regenerative methods and to do practical work 💪

Things that are in my skill set are cooking, the endurance of physical labor and stress, some knowledge in gardening and plant keeping, as well as the ability to work with different tools in a safe and useful manner. I have some knowledge and practical skills in woodworking, carpentry, and construction. I'm able to do electrical and plumbing stuff and work with IT systems. Since my 19th birthday I'm able to drive. I got some other skills and knowledge that are more situation-based. As I'm a curious person who loves to learn, I try to solve tasks with the knowledge I have or research till I get it.
