Hi :)

This septembre I want to return to Italy for a short time and work again under the sicilian sun.

Update: I'm very happy that I have already found a host!

I have been in Italy a couple of times already, last as as WorkAwayer in Sicily in May and June 2023, and before that when I studied in Bologna for one semester.

At the moment I'm doing my Masters in educational science/social work - when I'm not busy with reading, meeting friends, doing DIY projects, dancing etc.

After years of stuyding behind me and years of studying before me I love an opportunity to live closer to nature and work with my hands instead of my mind fo a change.

The Profile description asks me, what motivates me? In light of my studies I want to advoacte and work for people on the margins of our society. Generally I'm a big fan of everyone bing a kind person and everyone getting along.

What brings me happiness: Well, everyone getting along :D
Also: losing myself in good stories, nice fabrics for new sewing projects, evenings with friends, holidays with family, experiencing things I haven't experienced before, etc. etc.

All in all, I'm mostly a calm, happy, balanced and friendly person. I'm looking forward to meeting you :)

I have no real experience in formal teaching, but I'm happy to share my languages (German as my native lagnuage and English quite fluent)! And I hope to reactivate and improve my Italian. :)

I enjoy and have experience with all kinds of small Do it yourself / crafts projects (sewing, crocheting, upcycling, jewelry, cards, miniature stuff....)

Sadly I don't have a lot of experience with gardening, farming or manual labor yet, but I would like to especially improve my skills in this area!
I'm also quite motivated to learn and get more experience and if you show me what to do and how to do it, I'm confident that I'll catch on quickly enough.

I also enjoy using my language skills

As far as experiences are concerned; I have volunteered in a german primary school for a year, looked after children as an AuPair for one summer in England, I have done internships in a museum and in a social counseling service. At the moment I volunteer at a place, where homeless people can spend the day and in a language Cafè for migrant women.

Adesso continuerò in italiano per darvi un idea del mio livello di italiano reale (ho scritto io, non con un traduttore etc.) :

Ho fatto alcuni corsi in italiano e ho vissuto e studiato un semestre in Italia, quindi non sarebbe la mia prima esperienza vivere in Italia e comunicare con gli italiani. Sono in grado di avere una conversazione lunga con una persona o passare con piacere una serata con molte persone italiane, ho già fatto nel passato. Ma non posso promettere quanto bene vi capirei se avete un po di un dialetto o qualcosa simile.
Sono ottimista che non avremmo problemi grandi! Ma vorrei darvi un avviso, che probabilmente dovreste ripetere cose per me :D
