Hello world!
I'm Marcel, 31 years young from the most open hearted city of Germany named "Cologne". Colognians are well known for being communicative, open and respectful towards literally everyone and most of all being funny, taking life as easy as possible but serious as necessary. I take lot of pride being born and raised here, representing those values.
However I never got stuck at "home" for long. My curiosity about different cuisines, languages, histories and getting to know people who will never come to Cologne made me travel around the globe with early ages.
And here I am again with nothing then my few belongings, but a huge amount of experience how to be a good person/ company and a lot of various work experiences.
Former employers would probably describe me as highly reliable, working independently and acting responsibly.
Former colleagues might describe me as being "the cool bean", solving problems before anybody notices, staying concentrated and keeping the overview at any time and helping whereever help is required.
Friends say I am caring and protective but sometimes too mature and serious. Well I guess the 20's are finally over now. 😄
I am mostly interested in food/drinks and music. Means that in my freetime I spend hours over hours preparing, cooking, baking and listening to music.
Here and there I like to follow some big and main sports events like Soccer, American Football and Formula One.
If I go out I treat myself with the best coffee and cakes to find.
I like to talk, share ideas, making jokes and laugh and basically just socially connect with the people in my close surroundings.
I hope that you are able to get a good first impression of me.
Obviously there are a thousand things more to tell, so I hope we get to know each other to find out in person.

After working 15 years in various and different hospitality businesses trying different positions, I would say that my best skill is being a fantastic host making guests feel comfortable and well taking care of.
In the past years I learned how to use this in order to generate more and bigger sales, improving my communication skills and social knowledge.
My second biggest skill is my organisation. I never just do and go for it. I firstly think about the project/task making sure that everything is prepared and ready and acting after some sort of structure/plan/rules/laws etc.
My thrid skill I like to mention, is my general sense of logic (which is none other then mathematics). Besides feeling comfortable with numbers and the general principles of numbers, logic lets me work and act subconsciously straight to the aim.
And here again, there are so many more big and small skills to mention, which I rather like to prove.

I am taking this community and opportunities very serious. I am looking forward to use my skills to help out, I am open to learn new skills, I am not afraid to work and will give my all. Please just follow the deal we arranged in advance. There is nothing I value more then my time and if what I get in return is not the equivalent to my time - I am not afraid to tell you and try my luck somewhere else.
You don't want cheap holiday makers and I don't want to be an even cheaper labour.

He helped us very much running the hostel during the 3 months he has been with us.
A master chef in the kitchen.
We would highly recommend Marcel to everyone.
