Hello there! We are currently doing a WorkAway in West Ireland 🇮🇪!

🇮🇹 WE ARE ITALIAN CITIZENS, SO WE CAN WORK IN THE EU WITHOUT VISA 🇪🇺
Olá, bem-vindos ao nosso perfil!
Ciao, benvenuti sul nostro profilo!
To describe ourselves we decided to play a little game, so Carlos describes Francesca and Francesca describes Carlos! 👩🏻❤️👨🏽
Francesca is a big dreamer, would like to do anything, and what she does never seems enough, but she is learning to enjoy her victories. She is an extremely kind and empathetic person and has excellent communication skills. She has always been a solo traveler, explorer, interested in the "different" from her, curious to discover. She has already had experiences with WorkAway, in Spain picking almonds and in Germany babysitting in a family living surrounded by nature, but unfortunately, life as an adult and other things have not given her the chance to repeat this experience, until now! The same curiosity led her to learn several languages and master them very well (French, Spanish, English, Portuguese, German). In these two and a half years in Lisbon she has grown so much and her constant work on herself is admirable. She has always worked with the public, between bars, restaurants, and running her family's b&b, but her love of nature has led her to study international studies in sustainability and social security, in which she will graduate in a very few days, and to work as a volunteer for a Portuguese NGO working on nature conservation. She loves writing, second hand fashion, hiking, listening to podcasts and reading.
Carlos is an excellent listener, is very attentive to the needs of those around him, and respects the spaces of others. He has an opinion on just about everything, because he is a person of integrity and strength, but he is always very open to dialogue and ready to change his mind. I have been telling him about WorkAway forever and he is super curious and excited to take this opportunity to learn and discover. Having lived in so many different countries (Brazil, Italy, France, Portugal) has made him an open person, always ready to step out of his comfort zone and take on new challenges. He is absolutely a team player, a reference point in the group. He is neat, fascinated by the world of plants and mushrooms, motorcycles, sports, DIY (whatever that is!), and has a great ethic d
He is not perfect, but I think he is already the best version of himself, although you can always improve.
We met almost two years ago in an office in Lisbon, a city we both love madly. The strange fact is that Carlos has lived most of his life from the same region as Francesca, Umbria, in the center of Italy and called the green heart of Italy. Right from the start we understood each other because the office life does not belong to us, and we immediately started planning our future and trying to make it possible. We both dreamed of a full and fulfilling life, but with few things. Moving so many times and being split between countries has made us think about how much more we have than what we really need. We dream of traveling the world (Carlos by motorcycle) without the stress of putting flags on countries, but with the pleasure of living in the present, savoring as much of the local culture as possible, learning and enriching the only baggage we really care about, and sharing our way of being. We spend hours talking about our relationship, how we feel, and our views on anything concerning life: communication is everything! We enjoy cooking, walking, being at the beach, and we adore ramen!Interests

We would love to find hosts interested in learning our mother languages, Italian and Portuguese, but we could also teach Spanish basics. We are equally interested in learning any language and improving the ones we already know. Regarding English, we complement each other because Carlos is much better at comprehension and Francesca more fluent in speaking. We decided to start our trip from Ireland because we took a trip between Dublin and Cork last year and we want to be able to immerse ourselves in the uniqueness of its nature and learn to master English perfectly.Skills and knowledge we'd like to share or learn

Francesca: I have eight years of experience, (if not more counting that I have been helping in the family b&b since 2007), in table service, bar, kitchen help, dishwashing, room cleaning, breakfast preparation and service but also guest reception and check-in and check-out practices.
I have often helped my dad with olive picking, crafts both around the house and outside, and given new life to old furniture. I have had several experiences as a baby sitter and I love dogs (animals in general), and enjoy playing with them and taking care of them (especially of my biggest love Hera).
Jobs at an IT company and in the NGO have taught me a lot about teamwork, project management, and gained me skills with Office, Google, and email management tools.
Apart from the university that I am about to finish, I am formed in linguistic high school, thanks to which I started traveling and learning languages.
Carlos: I am trained in industrial mechanics, so I learned the profession of a turner and how to work with steel. I am a fast learner, so the jobs I have done vary a lot. I have experience in working with the public because I was involved in the management of a family convenience store, in which I did all kinds of tasks, including unloading goods and stock management, salesperson, cashier. I have also worked as a salesman in different kinds of stores.
I then returned to the industrial field as a fiber optic welder and then moved on to work as a content moderator at large tech industries (where I met Francesca!).
As I said, I love do-it-yourself, in fact I have been helping with the renovation of a family house in Brazil and with other small occasional jobs, and I would love to acquire other skills concerning, for example, carpentry and gardening. I love animals, I have always had one, I really enjoy being with them and taking care of them.Age
