Hello from Isabella (nickname Flash) and Lilah (old name Dylan)! 🌍
We’re two adventurous, positive, and enthusiastic travelers who share a deep love for the outdoors, cultural exploration, and meaningful connections. Together we bring creativity, hard work, and a passion for learning to every experience. We are both 22 years old, from the UK, and have recently graduated from The University of Bristol! Lilah achieved a 1st in MSci Theoretical Physics, and Flash achieved a 2:1 in BSc Physics.
About Us
Hi, I’m Flash! I am a versatile, experienced traveler who’s worked in a variety of customer-facing roles, from bartender and barista to lifeguard and tutor. I've spent two seasons working in the U.S., where I loved sharing cultures with people from all over the world. My hobbies include hiking, swimming, paddle boarding, painting, singing, and camping—I'm always excited to immerse myself in nature. With a strong interest in sustainability, particularly agroforestry and indigenous knowledge, I'm eager to deepen my understanding of sustainable practices while traveling. I'm also a total animal lover!
Hi, I'm Lilah! I share Flash’s love for the outdoors and am often described as the “animal whisperer” for my knack for connecting with animals. I am creative and dextrous, I love hands-on tasks and problem-solving—whether that’s crafting, engraving, or jumping into a new challenge. My hobbies include bouldering, hiking, camping, swimming, and playing music. A budding plant enthusiast, I'm eager to learn more about sustainable farming and plant care. With experience in bartending, tutoring, teaching, coding, and lab work, I bring a unique mix of skills and curiosity to any setting.
Why We’re Traveling
We’re both passionate about connecting with locals, learning new skills, and immersing ourselves in the rich history and culture of the places we visit. We are especially excited to improve our Spanish through real-world immersion and to contribute to projects that focus on sustainability and community-building. We love the social side of traveling too—whether it’s meeting new people, hosting events, or simply enjoying good company over a drink!
We volunteered for three weeks at a glamping site in Argentina, where we helped with cleaning, raking, and welcoming guests. We then spent four weeks at a hostel and eco-lodge in Chile, assisting with cleaning, pool maintenance, and gardening. We also took part in harvesting and preserving fruit. We loved getting to know our hosts and sharing their culture. We can’t wait to meet new people, learn from hosts, and contribute to projects that make a positive impact!
