Hey,

I’m Stijn from Belgium.
I’m very positive in life and always motivated to help and learn things.
I’m very adventurous and have made many trips far away.
I have been living in my own house for 18 years so doing the housekeeping is not a problem for me.
I also cooked a lot of basics in the meantime. Everyone loves my scampi’s diabolique, pancakes and rice pudding. Hopefully you will too ... 😉
I’m very social and adapt quickly to other people and places.
I have a lot of patience and I’m good with children. I’m already 2 times uncle of my brothers children.
I’ve been working at Volvo trucks for 22 years. As a secondary profession I worked for 10 years in a discotheque as a bartender and waiter. I also worked as a plasterer for 3 years.
With evening school I obtained a diploma for placement of gyproc and plasterer.
So I have gained a lot of experience in my own country. I look forward to gaining even mooore knowledge, and why not abroad? That makes the experience much bigger and more intense. Maybe I’ll visit you sometime, I‘m looking forward to it ... 😉 I've already had some great experiences thanks to Workaway. it's given me a lot of new insights, and that's why I want to gain even more experience during a sabbatical year at the end of 2026 and in 2027.

Stijn has been a wonderful help in my House! He renovated my bathroom, plastered walls, installed new toilet pipes etc. He's very professional in his work with lots of skills. More than that he's a very kind and easy-going person. He's fun to be around and trustworthy. I hope he comes back around.

I had a really wonderful time staying with Jolie and Felicia (her dog). Jolie was always very enthusiastic and happy whenever another part of the bathroom was finished, which made working for her even more rewarding. It is such a pity that I never actually got to meet Stijn and his girlfriend Deborah. Our travel dates did not match perfectly so they arrived to an empty house.
