Hi, I’m Evan!

I’m a 22-year-old from North Wales, about to graduate with a physics degree from the University of Liverpool. This summer, I’m looking forward to spending time in the south of France, learning new things, meeting new people, and expanding my horizons.

I’m easygoing, hardworking, and happy to help with just about anything. I especially enjoy being outdoors and would love to get involved with gardening or any hands-on projects in a peaceful, beautiful setting. I appreciate the simple pleasures in life—good company, meaningful work, and enjoying the passage of time in a relaxed environment.

I’ve traveled before, but only on traditional holidays, so I’m excited to experience a different way of living and working. I speak French at a level better than beginner and am eager to improve.

I’m adaptable, hardworking, and always willing to learn. While I don’t have formal experience in specific trades, I’m comfortable with a wide range of tasks and happy to help wherever needed.

I enjoy working outdoors and would be especially suited to gardening, general maintenance, and any hands-on tasks like painting, landscaping, or simple DIY projects. I’m physically fit and don’t mind getting my hands dirty.

Through my studies in physics, I’ve developed strong problem-solving skills and a logical approach to tasks. I also have experience working independently on projects, managing my time effectively, and staying committed to long-term goals.

I speak French at a better-than-beginner level, so I’d be happy to practice and improve while helping out. I’m also sociable, friendly, and open to learning new skills—whether that’s cooking, working with animals, or helping in a family setting.

I may not be an expert in any one area, but I’m enthusiastic, dependable, and ready to give my best effort in whatever tasks come my way!

In my free time, I like to stay active—I’ve recently taken up swimming, I play football with my friends every week, and I enjoy going to the gym. I also love cooking and learning new recipes, so I’d be happy to help out in the kitchen and pick up some new culinary skills along the way.

I enjoy socializing and meeting new people, especially those with different backgrounds and experiences. I love learning from others, whether it’s about culture, skills, or just different ways of looking at the world.

I’m excited for this Workaway experience and looking forward to the new places, people, and skills it will bring!
