  • Description

    Hello everyone,
I'm Eva, 27 years old and from Germany. After finishing my BSc. in Environmental Sciences and my MSc. in Sustainable Foods and Natural Resources I still feel like there is sooo much more to learn. And the best way for me to learn is hands on. So I decided to taylor a life for myself, that allows for new adventures and soaking up knowledge at any given time. So I decided to convert a van, move into it full time and do what led to the bestest times and most interesting knowledge exchanges - Volunteering.

    About me:
I'm a creative, easy going but hard working woman, who is eager to learn as many new things as possible.
My biggest passion is nature and its conservation. Doesn't matter if it's learning, teaching, gardening or just going for a walk. Even if I enjoyed both of my studies and got to learn so many interesting things, I now want to deepdive into my fields of interest to be able to apply this knowledge in real life.
The subjects I can't learn enough about are Conservation, Herbalism, Holistic Medicine (TCM, Ayurveda, etc.), Sustainable Ways of living (in any form), ancient plants and crops, and really anything related to Nature and Biodiversity hehe. Unrelated skills I would love to aquire: more confidence in Metal work and easy Electrical Engineering, Sailing and Knitting.

I am a quite handy person. I always loved creating, painting and building. Luckily, I always found outlets in the arts and also in various voluteering positions (everything from wood working to chipping rust off a boat). Converting the van by myself definetly was a final boss, but I gained so many more useful skills from it.
Furthermore, Art is where I want to earn my money. I am currently building a website and hope to sell commissions (mainly pet portraits) soon. Another art form I enjoy doing are murals: In the past I could leave a part of me on some walls in hostels I volunteered in and would love to keep doing it. So if you have a spare and empty wall you want to fill with an idea, I will do my best to bring it to life.

Besides that I have lots of experiences as a waitress and bartender from working in different international restaurants and bars. Hospitality is very important to me and I enjoy working with guest - doesn't matter if it's from behind the bar or leading activities.
Also, cooking is my love language! For a few friends or a large group, I want everyone to leave the table full and happy.

I love volunteering for all the insights you get and friends you make along the way. If you think, I could be a good addition to your team, feel free to text and get to know me.
One last note: Since most of my volunteering positions were not via Workaway, but just by showing up in person, there are no feedbacks on my profile so far. If you want to get some references, I can definetly get you some.

Looking forward to hear from you!

    All the best,
    Eva :)

  • What else ...

"Strangers are friends you just haven't met yet."

I truly love to meet new people and having conversations that go deeper than the weather. To learn their way of thinking while sharing your own ideas and thoughts can lead to amazing outcomes of all kind. Whether it is a meaningfull conversation or a new and fun project coming to life, every encounter holds so much potential.
I am a very open person, but that calls for clear boundaries. I am quite direct (very German of me), but never with a bad intention. I value people who can play back this directness without being confrontational, especially when I happen to overstep their boundaries. Clear communication is highly appreciated :)
