Description

I enjoy reading (especially classics & philosophy), hiking, history and getting to know people from different places and backgrounds. I've lived most of my life in Southern California but have lived abroad in Corn Island, Nicaragua and Catania, Italy. I really like languages and have a basic fluency in Spanish and some Italian (a little rusty). I work in the real estate industry and have a background in construction. A little burned out on my job and looking to get away from the Mojave desert for the summer.

I have worked in real estate sales for 6 years and have managed a few properties from full time rentals to vacation rentals. Completed more than 400 career transactions and have a well rounded knowledge of real estate. Recently obtained my CA broker's license.

10 years of general construction
Experience with drywall, conventional framing, painting, basic finish work, some concrete (very bad at finishing concrete), yard work, landscaping, forming, very basic electrical and plumbing. I would not consider myself a professional at any of these trades but know enough to get myself into trouble and am always willing to learn more :)

2 years experience of dishwashing at parent's restaurant when I was 13 but not opposed to taking it up again..

I have no professional training but have a lot of experience with public speaking and reading and did obtain a cert to teach English as a second language sometime back.
