Hiya ! I am 22 and just graduated with my Bachelors in psychology and will be spending 2026 travelling before returning to New Zealand to continue study. This is the second time I have taken a year to travel and last time I did 4 workaways in the USA along with other exploring. I absolutely loved living like a local, adjusting and learning about all the different ways of living. I am up for any new experience as even the work is an adventure in a new place! I am a bubbly and energetic person, who loves crafting, the outdoors, animals, homemaking and trying new things. I love meeting new people and engaging in local activities and culture.

I have always loved learning, particularly hands on, practical skills. So any job you need doing I will happily learn if you are willing to teach. I am the eldest of four, so have been brought up helping around the house, cooking, cleaning, DIY, and looking after my siblings. I have held a part time job since I was 15, and am currently working full time. So I am not afraid of a little hard work!

I have many general skills that I have gained through my upbringing. At home I help around the house a lot with cooking, cleaning, ironing, looking after children and other jobs needed to keep the house running. Overtime I have developed basic knowledge on sanding, painting, helping with building and woodcraft and gardening. I am a creative person and have basic sewing and crochet skills (not yet formerly trained, but would love to learn more).

I have held a part time job since the age of 15, beginning as a cleaner for an elderly couple. I spent 2.5 years at a big ice cream store and am currently working as an assistant at a high end hair salon. From these workplaces I have learned how to pick things up quickly, adapt to different work environments and spent time with many different people. Many days at the hair salon are 12 hour days, so I have become accustomed to long hours of high intensity work.

I am a naturally motherly person, who is very organised and self aware. I can take on feedback easily and communicate well with a variety of ages.

What else ...

Throughout high school I was involved in performing arts and performed in many plays/musicals. I have danced my whole life, specifically ballet. I love upcycling clothes and making tools or objects I may need from second hand things. I create my own patterns to sew some of my own clothes and rarely buy anything new. Most commonly I buy from a second hand store or make myself. For a few Christmas's my family and I made all our Christmas presents. These varied from cross-stitch, ribbon work, woodwork and many other things that could be useful for them.

I love hiking and exploring new areas. My family and I have spent many holidays exploring remote rivers, mountains or unmarked areas throughout our country.

I love animals, although I don't have much experience with farm animals, we have a border collie and have had many rabbits who have free rein in our courtyard and house.

I also enjoy the simplicities in life, whether that's through reading, crochet, writing or simply enjoying nature. I am always eager for any card or board game, which have been a prominent part in my competitive families life.

My biggest interest right now is to see and experience as many different things as possible, before I have to focus on my studies.
