Hey there! We're Emily & Brian. We're long-term partners who met doing Workaway in the San Juan Islands. We've since lived on Orcas Island, in Seattle, and are now in Emily's home state of Montana where we're looking to offer our skills and meet new people! Brian is a skilled 'jack of all trades' and has won awards for his work in residential and commercial property maintenance, and Emily enjoys her career working remotely with National Geographic Expeditions.

We're hoping to find an opportunity in NW Montana this summer to share our skills while also being close to Emily's family before traveling overseas in the fall. We're happy to share our resumes and hope our talents can be of use to you!

We both have extensive experience working in hospitality and have done seasonal work together and separately at various resorts, lodges, and retreat centers in the USA and abroad (first time on Workaway as a couple!)

Emily's hospitality experience has centered around: front desk & concierge, learning hotel/resort software, housekeeping & cleaning, landscaping, bussing/serving, and providing excellent customer service. She's also worked in travel and built a career working remotely as a Travel Advisor before entering the Expedition Travel space to work with NatGeo Expeditions. All she needs is a reliable internet connection, and she's more than happy to work outside of her normal 8-5 schedule to fulfill her Workaway-er duties and support her hosts.

Brian's hospitality experience has centered around: general maintenance including but not limited to - painting, sanding, plumbing, landscaping, minor electrical work, construction, organizing schedules, planning maintenance items, and team management. He has also worked in customer-facing roles such as concierge and has assisted with or managed other departments in addition to facilities, such as housekeeping and IT/tech support.
Brian has made a successful career out of his knowledge base and even won an award in Seattle for his maintenance abilities and management style. He's hoping to find a paid position that allows him to utilize these skills.

We love a good game of chess and Brian is a knowledgeable D&D DM. We also enjoy hiking, reading, traveling, learning new skills/languages, film, trivia, music (Emily is in a band part-time), and meeting new people.
