Hi there, I´m Emily, I am 24 years old and I am from Germany but lived in Austria for the past 4 years in a beautiful city called Innsbruck which is surrounded by mountains.
I love to be outdoors and to learn new things. I went to a Rudolf-Steiner School (Waldorf-School) where I had the opportunity to learn a lot of different handcraft skills and discover my passion for it. We had classes in all kind of handcrafts such as woodwork, gardening, sewing or metal processing.
I like to move my body and I am into all kinds of sports, my favourites would be surfing, snowboarding, skating and hiking but I like physical work in general and I can tackle things well.
I have several experiences in living abroad and adapting to new circumstances. I lived in Ireland for five months when I was seventeen and went to school there. I worked in France for two months and South Africa for three months when I finished school and lived in my van for four month in Spain and Portugal. These occasions made me learn what it means to stay away from home for a long time, to step out of the comfort zone, to feel insecure, to live in an unfamiliar environment, to build up a new life with new and different people and to feel all the joy that can come with it.
I´m curios to travel new places, to listen, to watch, to learn and to get to know different cultures and people. I am a lively and positive minded person. I like to smile and see the good side in things and think
who has always a smile on her lips and is motivated to help other people while getting in contact with them and improving languages skills.

Language is something that fascinates me. Learning a language is part of learning about and understanding cultural history and backround. For me it is part of the (travel)experience to show interest for the local language.

I went to a Rudolf-Steiner School where I learned basic skills in woodwork, gardening and metal processing. Sewing is a big passion of mine and I was able to set up my own project of making jewellery and sewing cloths and selling them on markets and online. I studied Sociology and I am really interested in people and how structures and society works. I have several job experiences in all kind of sectors such as gastronomy, retail, tourism, social facilities such as a kindergarden and an elderly home.

I am a lively and optimistic person. I like to laugh and to play. I find joy in trying to make the best out of situations and circumstances. I love being around people but I also enjoy to be on my own sometimes. Conflict is not the easiest for me because I have a certain need of harmony, there for clear communication and honesty about expectations and rules are things that I value.
I am into crafting and creating and I spend a lot of my time sewing, crocheting and knitting. It is a great opportunity for me express my creativity and combine colours and shapes.
Gardening, building things and cooking healthy meals are hobbies of mine that I rellly enjoy doing. I love surfing, snowboarding and skating because of the movements, the fun and being part of a community. I love going on trips and exploring the surroundings of my current environment. During summer I live in my van for a few months, go on surftrips in europe and work in surfcamps.
