Description
Hi, I'm Emilia, a 19yo German taking a gap year.
Getting to know new people and being close to nature is what I love doing most. I enjoy working in the garden, making my own food and harvesting vegetables. I am also interested in hospitality and childcare, I am very versatile in that aspect. My vacations have always been about travelling, hiking, and exploring new countries and cultures so why not take it to the next level and do a working holiday ? I am a very spontaneous person loving the freedom solo travelling offers.
My friends often tell me that I am very direct, honest and trustworthy. I’d like to think of myself as hard working and reliable.
I am hoping to gain some experience and learn new things during my travels.

During Covid I started gardening, my skills aren’t the best but I really enjoy doing it. I also have some experience in taking care of animals. I had bunnies for a while and spent a big part of my childhood on my friends (and neighbours) farm playing with the chickens and riding on the tractor. I love going hiking and camping. Helping my dad building stuff around the house and garden also taught me some basic craft working skills. I worked in a hotel for two years where I learned my way around the kitchen, had to work as a waitress and clean rooms for guests. I am also able to take care of children, having coached a local youth group handball the last six years.
