Description
Hi, I'm Ellie!
I'm from the UK but I'm always on the move. I've been in Japan since November, doing my working holiday visa in Hakuba. Myself and my partner are looking for a 2 week workaway, roughly 23rd March until 4th April. We have a car and are happy to travel!
I've used workaway since 2020 and have had countless amazing experiences. From carpentry, gardening, animal care, painting etc. I enjoy the diversity of jobs workaway presents to me.
Learning about locals and their backgrounds is really interesting. It has given me a new perspective on life, and opened my eyes to options outside the standard 9-5 way of living. I feel like I've learnt many important life lessons from each and every workaway so far.
I am happiest when surrounded by animals, be it at a rescue centre, seeing wild animals in their natural habitat, at a sanctuary, or a home with pets. So being around animals would be a bonus!
I’m active, reliable, hard working, energetic, love learning new skills as well as improving what I already know, and trustworthy. Some of my hobbies include: hiking, dog sitting and walking, longboarding, canoeing, visiting art galleries, snowboarding, yoga, being creative with food, and sketching.
I'm a long term vegan, so staying at a workaway that can accommodate, or allows me to cook for myself, or is willing to try vegan food, would be ideal.

Louise was such a lovely, welcoming, chilled host, with lots of interesting travel stories. She took me to Eumundi markets which was a really nice outing, and gave me lots of top tips on the area.

I loved my stay with Ian and Tanya. I felt really comfortable and warmly welcomed into their family. Jobs varied but mainly consisted of weeding, painting, cleaning, cooking, and walking the dogs, which I was perfectly happy with. They live in a beautiful area, so during time off it was great to explore the coast and nearby lakes
