Currently living in Cochabamba, Bolivia.
In august/september I would like to go and explore Beni, Rurrenabaque.Description
Hi there!
After living in Australia for 2 years, doing some farmwork and HelpX, I no longer felt at home in Belgium and started looking for a next adventure.
I have been juggling two jobs for the past year, here in Cochabamba, Bolivia, and now.. I need a break! :D
My profession is teaching elementary school kids, specialized in kids with learning and development disorders (autism, ADD, ...) So I initially came to run a little Dutch school.
But apart from that, I've also been working for a freight company that imports trucks from all over Europe to Bolivia. This definitely doenst concur with my environmental ideas, but hey, how else to learn how the world works?
I'm looking to slow down a bit, and invest in my interests of learning more about plant medicine, permaculture and wherever there's nice animals to keep me company.
My love in life is food, and everything that goes along with it. Planting it, cherishing it, harvesting it, cooking it, eating it, composting it and starting all over again!
For this reason I love traveling to get to know new flavours, herbs and learn to prepare local dishes.
What I have to offer is a kind, empathic energy. Need a place with a good vibe and plenty of outdoor space where I could practice some yoga/reading/meditation.
Extra: I'm a passionate plastic avoider, always travel with my reusable bags and/or containers. I don't appreciate a single use, throw away mentality.
I like cooking organic, natural and local :)
--> Will probably be traveling with my Bolivian boyfriend. He got a taste of the workaway lifestyle in Peru last year and is keened to have some more. (We are now also hosts ourselves for our Precious Plastic project!)
He has pretty much the same passions and interest as I do, so we're very compatible.
He is an incredibly calm and warm soul.
Skills; biogas, alternative energy, drawings
Wants to help make a mural somewhere
