  • Description

    Hi, I’m Ella!
I recently finished university and just beginning my travels in Bolivia. I’m a passionate and adventurous person looking to explore Latin American landscapes and cultures, connect with lovely people from different walks of life, and integrate myself into projects and communities throughout my travels.
I’m most at peace in nature- I’ve grown up camping, hiking, wild swimming and helping with my mum’s vegetable garden. I’m keen to learn more about sustainable/restorative agricultural practices, medicinal plants and permaculture, about how to nurture different ecosystems and live in harmony with the natural environment- I’m not scared to get my hands dirty!
I love working with children, especially listening to their crazy questions! I’ve had a range of teaching/caring experiences and especially love creative/collaborative learning. I’m passionate about educational equity and tackling social justice issues through education.

I would love to be involved in creative projects- I like to think I have an eye for design and am constantly doing henna tattoos, illustrating and collaging. I also practice yoga, and enjoy rock climbing and cooking - I’m vegetarian and love communal cooking & sharing food.
I enjoy communal living, and would like to build relationships with the people around me. I’m not fussy, and don’t mind where I sleep. I’m excited to practice my Spanish, and share laughs and stories with people I meet.

    Hola, me llamo Ella!

No soy quisquillosa y no me importa dónde duermo.

More details about my language interests
I am a native English speaker, with a degree in Spanish. I have a range of experiences teaching English in Spanish-speaking contexts (in Spanish and Colombian schools) to children from 2-16 years old. I'm more than happy to be in an exclusively Spanish-speaking context, but I also love how sharing and exchanging languages can connect people, so would happily speak English in this context.
