Description
A former engineer and very handy around the house and garden who is looking to experience living and working abroad during a travel sabbatical now that her kids are out of the house. A dual American-German citizen who spent childhood summers in the Alps, who is looking to be back building community in Europe. Currently live in the mountains of Tennessee, spending time outdoors. Animal lover who volunteers at the local animal shelter. Creative and hard working with a passion for DIY projects, solving problems, and building things. Professionally, I have worked as a mechanical engineer and a professor. In addition to technical skills, I am an excellent problem solver with strong spatial awareness. I also love mentoring and teaching new skills to others. I am also detail-oriented and excellent at design.
In my home life, I love gardening, home projects, interior design, and cooking and trying new recipes.
One of my favorite life memories was the summer spent working at a bed and breakfast in Austria. I cleaned rooms, mingled with guests, and prepared breakfast each morning. The time made the most of my love of cleaning, organizing, and creative projects.
I am high energy, active, and caring. I am also talkative and friendly, love meeting new people and learning from them. I am an optimist who sees the best in others!
