Description
I arrived in Australia in March 2023 in Melbourne. Completed my 88 days on a thoroughbred stud in VIC then drove across the Nullarbor to Perth. Stayed in Perth for 4 months before driving back across to Sydney & up to Cairns. Currently working near Brisbane.
Before starting my travels, in the UK, I was an Event Manager for a catering company and have 10 years experience in the hospitality industry. I have a passion for horses and have worked & volunteered at various riding yards and Equine Therapy centres, helping children with special educational needs gain skills & confidence through riding. I enjoy working in the outdoors and I’m not put off by physical labour. I am also interested in working on eco-sites, possibly to help build self-sufficient houses or in plant cultivation.

I love learning new things and I’m always keen to gain further knowledge in any area. I have a first class degree in philosophy and enjoy learning about other people and their way of living. I am passionate about horses and love being around them, I have taken riding lessons since the age of 8 and worked at various riding schools. I especially love helping others gain skills and confidence through working with horses and have volunteered & worked at different equine therapy yards. I have also previously worked for an American summer camp, the first year was as a horse riding instructor and the second year running the riding facilities.
I have worked in the hospitality industry for 11 years, starting as a waitress and doing bar work, moving on to a full time supervisor position in a hotel and my last role being an event manager for a catering company, planning, delivering and overseeing private events, mainly weddings.
I’m happy getting involved in any work, I was involved in a short stint as a production operative for an organic produce distribution company during 2020.

I am quite interested in wellness practices. I like to try and keep up with a daily yoga practice and to meditate on occasion. It would be great to connect with others who are into this.
I’m an ok cook and always happy to help with any tasks around the house, I enjoy helping others. I would probably say I am a ‘foodie’ and enjoy eating at local restaurants and going to farmers markets.
I enjoy music and like going to festivals and live gigs or listening in on a jam session.
