Asheville, NC, United States - from Oct 2023 until Apr 2024 View allDescription
Hello! My name is Drew. I'm eagerly looking to escape the capitalist grind and learn some tasks, which would be good for participating in a sustainable community. I love hiking and camping and taking pictures and videos of those adventures. I would love a place where I could work online, learn about sustainable practices, and help build or renovate structures with my construction knowhow.

I would love to learn more woodworking, farming, farm animal keeping, and sustainable power structures (solar, etc.). But I'm experienced in gardening, programming, photography, filming and editing, cleaning, pet-caretaking, and basic maintenance (I know my way around a hammer and drill and stuff). I love gutter cleaning! :) I'm a huge fan of basically any animal and I have some experience raising birds, cats, guinea pigs, reptiles, and dogs. And I'm a fast learner and motivated, hard worker. At my past workaway experiences, I have foraged, helped build a house, built a website for my host, created cedar sign posts, build bed frames, and repair a floor in a 400-year-old cottage.

I always come prepared with a good attitude and lots of games to play. I am just happy to be included!
Please do not message me about babysitting. My primary focus on WorkAway is to learn about sustainable practices in construction and food-growing. I'm not really interested in being a nanny. Some more information
