Hi everyone! I’m Page, I’m a friendly outgoing 37 year old and have been described as a positive switch that’s always on. I love smiling and having a good time!

I was born in the USA but have been living in Australia for most of my life. Moving as a child helped to spark my love of travel and I make sure to go overseas every year. This year is Thailand and Spain!

I consider myself a lifelong learner and love experiencing other cultures. I am reliable and love animals. I used to work as a science teacher and have a lot of experience with kids too. I don’t shy away from getting my hands dirty and enjoy being active and involved in trying new things.

I am new to Workaway so this will be my first experience. I am excited to come stay with you and help out where I can in exchange for learning about your lifestyle, and/or find a travel buddy to share some new adventures with!

I love nature, science and people, so I started my professional career as a tour guide. This amazing experience meant I got to meet lots of people from around the world and build my communication skills. I was always told I am really good at explaining things so I eventually got into teaching! I taught high school science and loved it. I especially love biology and animals and work as a dog sitter as a side job.

Because of some of my jobs, I have an Australian Working With Children Check - which includes a national police and background check.

I really like using my hands and have a fairly technical mind so learning how to build things interests me. Some examples of interesting projects I’ve helped with include building an enclosure for a reptile centre and demolishing, then rebuilding my kitchen.

I like the outdoors and enjoy camping and rock climbing.

I love playing board games, but I can be quite competitive sometimes!
I would be happy if we can eat at least one meal each day together as ‘family’, I love connecting over good food (and good wine!).
