Hello folks! My name is Dmitry. I'm 58 years young man:)
In my past life I worked as a turner, a night porter, an assistant director at a film factory, a tram driver and for over 18 years as a lighting technician in several famous theaters in St. Petersburg.
Since March 15 2022 I am a workaway's volunteer and freelancer.
My first volunteer experience was in the south of France, near the ancient town Saorge. I worked for an elderly woman in her mountain house and her farm. I was involved in planting, repairing, building and taking care for chickens and her nice dog. Unfortunately, I only stayed there for two months.
Then I spent a month in Estonia. There I created a new water supply system for all the plants and trees, and also built a new wood stove in their summer house.
For the next almost two years, I worked in Turkey for three workaway's hosts.
The first place was near the old city Selchuk. It was a big tomato farm and we produced some tomato products, and also I took care about goats, sheep and chickens. I've lived there for almost four months.
The second place was near Ovadjik Nation Park where I lived in a Mongolian yurt. I did a lot of work like harvesting, building , planting and painting the floor inside the house... I've lived there for four months.
The last place in Turkey was between Izmir and Bodrum and near Akbuk city. It is a yoga retreat center and I’ve lived there for more than a year. That place has 12 houses for guests and staff, a big open kitchen and a yoga place. I was solving all problems with electricity, plumber, some carpentry problems that happened to them. I also painted the outside of all the houses and yoga shala, planted a vegetable garden, cleaned the pool. The most important work was repairing and renovating the cameras security CCTV system.
I moved to Paraguay in July 2024.
Since February 2025 I've been working at the apart-hotel Zengarden Paraguay next to capital of Paraguay Asuncion. Here I work in the garden and clean guest houses.
So, over these years I’ve improved my skills and now I can fix almost everything :)
I like to live a simple life. I don't have any special requirements. I can do any job that I can or learn what I don’t know.
I speak English pretty well, I think my level is between A2 and B1, and I don’t stop to learn it. I have also been studying Spanish for the last half a year.
Invite me and you won't regret 😌Interests
