A little bit about us =)

Elias--> Travel, learning and exploring has been a passion of mine and I love spending time in nature. Some of my adventure trips include driving across Canada and camping along the way (6 weeks). I spent 3 months in the Amazonian jungle of Peru working with a non profit Permaculture center where we focused working with natural medicine, preserving nature, permaculture and working with indigenous groups in a sustainable fashion. I have trekked the great Himalayas for 2 weeks to Everest base camp (one of my most memorable experiences) Trekked 5 days in the Andes to Machu Pichu, Trekked in the rocky mountains and climbed Mount Snowden in Wales. I did a 6 week motorcycle (off road/camping) trip in Mongolia across the country in search of the elusive reindeer tribe. I have spent time with the Shamans in the Amazonian jungle, Mongolian Steppe, Bolivian Andes and in Canada. Toronto, Canada used to be my home base but I have lived in London, UK for a year and 6 years in Los Angeles. In total have been to about 34 countries and will have visited about 40 countries by august 2023 (currently traveling in Asia).

When I am not traveling I am growing/gardening or building our online business. Wherever I stay a garden tends to pop up, growing seems to be in my nature. While living in Canada and Los Angeles I have grown most vegetables and have a firm understanding about plants/growing food. I used to have chickens and love to work with animals. I Get along with pets really well (Love cats).

I studied biomedical toxicology for 2 years and 4 years of economics at the University of Guelph, Canada. One of my biggest passions is photography, especially of nature.

I met my wife Christine in Mongolia who was visiting from Los Angeles. She visited me in London in march 2017 (after we met in Mongolia in 2016) subsequently I visited Los Angeles later that year. What was originally a 10 day visit turned into a 6 year adventure. I ended up leaving everything behind in London and we got married in Los Angeles. I am a Canadian citizen and a permanent resident in the U.S. (Working on becoming a U.S Citizen :) )

We have an online business on Etsy where we sell custom products, mostly Digital Prints and currently working on a second shop focusing on clothing. Please visit the link below to get a better idea. We are traveling the world and building our online business. We do need an internet connection as we deal with clients about 4 / 5 hours a day (8-10 hours if we work on expanding the business and have nothing else going on). We make a great team and have great synergy working on different projects together.

I am a quick learner, love learning new skills and working with my hands as I do enjoy physical labor.

We are hard workers and both enjoy challenging ourselves by learning new skills.

Christine---> Traveling, experiencing diverse cultures and being of service to others are some of my greatest passions. Prior to my shift into the digital nomad lifestyle, I was fortunate to have a successful 20 year+ career as an Executive Creative Director doing graphic design and marketing & communications for many companies. I have owned an advertising agency that worked exclusively with nonprofits, and my C-level position was at the American Film Institute in Hollywood where I oversaw a team of 5 departments with over 100 employees. Ask me about virtually any actor or film, and I most likely have a good story for you =) Being a cinephile, this was incredibly rewarding and a great challenge. I transitioned to my own consultancy business and expanded to managing a successful E-commerce shop with my husband, which we manage for 3-4 hours daily. This affords us the freedom of digital nomad status which is the main goal.

In my travels to over 15 countries (so far) my most memorable and rewarding was a 3 month family homestay in Kolkata India. I participated in humanitarian efforts with Dr. Ashoke Prahadesh and Maharaji Holistic Clinics; where I visited Women’s Shelters, Holistic Cancer treatment centers, Ayurveda & general medical treatment clinics, and Clean water Initiatives throughout the rural West Bengal region. I cooked, cleaned, assisted in office/administrative duties and provided basic patient care and mental health support.

I hold a BFA specializing in painting, drawing, graphic design and art history. My other passions and skills include, but not limited to: Cooking, Food prep/Meal planning, Garden Care, Animal care & welfare (behavioral / socialization / hygiene / conservation efforts / volunteer work with dog/cat rehabilitation centers in West LA shelters). I am at my most peaceful while among wildlife. Also an expert in Graphic design, websites, marketing & Communications, painting, drawing and I am also a PADi Certified Open Water Diver.

My husband and I are an excellent team and we combine our vastly unique experiences into a powerhouse of good will and hard work. I look forward to offering my skills which can be of great support and service to a variety of hosts in the program.
