Hey Deon!

I’m from India, born and raised in Kuwait, and I’ve been living in France for the past 11 months. Bit of a mix, right? But it’s that mix that’s made me super curious about different cultures and perspectives.

I’m an artist and photographer — I’ve worked on personal projects and with brands, always trying to capture real emotions through my lens. I love looking at the world from every angle possible.

Before starting my Master’s at IESEG in Lille, I worked as a tour guide and brand strategist for a travel company in India. Along the way, I also taught karma yoga and meditation. Honestly, it was the adventure of a lifetime. It really made me want to serve people in any way I can, wherever I go.

I took this leap because I wanted to challenge myself — to do something hard and meaningful. I’m working on perfecting my French and learning to make wine, something that was my father’s passion. I want to walk in his footsteps.

This journey means everything to me — it’s an investment in my future and a way to truly respect where I come from and where I’m going.

Every time I meet a person, I get in the habit of picking up their languages, accents and expressions. I've been learning and speak decent french- I understand it completely and would like to be an environment where french is needed. I speak about 7 languages to various degrees.

What else ...

I like to play the harmonica, guitar and also sing for audiences and friends. I love playing chess, and can play it for hours at a time- I have had a life long interest and practices of yoga, meditation and spirituality and avidly read about Julian psychoanalysis, and western philosophy. I love engaging groups in story oriented conversations, initiating everyone to connect and share stories.
