Hi ! I'm a ski/snowboard instructor, just recently finished another season in the Czech Republlic. I enjoy physical work, such as gardening, building, painting.. etc and cooking. I like playing guitar/mandolin, running/hiking, languages, poi, reading, yoga/stretching, nature, and making friends while travelling ! I like a low-tech approach and trying to mend things. I like to help people. I'm generally an easy-going and tidy person. I'm very interested in mindfulness/present moment awareness and non-violent communication, now trying to live by those

David was a fantastic volunteer. Very self motivated, efficient and considerate. He took on new roles in the kitchen very quickly and became a great asset. He is a great cleaner and very dependable and a really good team player. We would love to have him back again for longer.

I had a great 5 week long stay here, with really good people and nice experiences... The events held here were very varied, and I met a lot of interesting people from that. It's a beautiful place, right by the sea..in one minute you can be standing on the sea wall with its fresh air and views.

David stayed with us two weeks. We wish he could stay longer. It was very good experience hosting Dave. He is very considarate, humble and gentle. When he was in our small kitchen, he always took a good care not to disturb, always washed dishes after himself, was quiet. He came with his car and sleept in his tent. Very independent. David was great during his short visit, he was very understanding of the workaway setup and got to work on lots of tasks we had to do. he worked on his own and with his own transport he was able to explore the area.
It was a pleasure to have David around even if it was a short visit.

David was with us for a week and we found him very capable and thorough and generally helpful (happy to help with clearing up and for example emptying the dishwasher without being asked). He is good company and interesting to talk to. We recommend him to other hosts!

My experience with these guys in Pembrokeshire was really great. They were very welcoming right from the start and looked after me to make sure I was ok and happy.

Caspar and Frida are great hosts - warm and welcoming. And Levke and Yanis are sweet too.
Food and drink was plentiful and delicious.
The house and the location are something special - I did lots of tree planting on their path just outside the house , right next to the sea... it was lovely to hear/see/smell the sea all day.

We loved having Dave be our workaway for five weeks. Dave came to us during the virus and was conscientious about observing all necessary rules during quarantine. He worked hard throughout on tasks we requested, as well as spotting extra bits he could do to help out. He takes his time to do things properly. He asked for very little but was lovely… read more

I was at Lola's for 2 weeks in the summer, helping to look after her Mum.
It was a great experience for me. Lola, Betty and Jalia are all lovely and helped me to be comfortable during my stay.
In my free time I went to the sea, Sidmouth is nice, and really close, and Exeter too. We also went out all together a few times for some great pub lunches… read more

I spent a great 2 and a half weeks on Ian's farm, doing lots of gardening and also clearing a section of the acequia and then monitoring it as the water flowed (magical !) and then building fencing using the caña which grows around in abundance, and also making loquat jam with a solar cooker !

I had a great stay here, it was fun and interesting, and varied - we were building a new chicken coop, painting the roof of a caravan, aswell as goat milking and looking after the animals and garden, cooking, etc. Beautiful spot !
