Thanks for visiting my profile. My name is David and I'm from Cambridgeshire in the UK.

After working for 12 years in sales roles I am now in the process of retraining in Psychotherapy, beginning in Oct 2024. Between now and then I hope to use Workaway to meet interesting people, see different places and see if I can pick up some additional skills along the way. I am particularly fascinated with finding out about different ways of living from off grid lifestyles to farming to different forms of therapy.

I have been lucky enough to try my hand at many different tasks whilst staying with Workaway hosts in the past, including working in a kitchen, gardening, teaching English, dog walking and cleaning. I have recently completed a 220 Hours TEFL course (teaching English as a foreign language).

In my spare time I like to keep active whether it be hiking, yoga or resistance training. I'm a huge lover of music having played the drums for 20 years. In the last year I have learnt to play the guitar and would be keen to meet fellow musicians on my travels. I have a basic understanding of Spanish and would love to improve on this as well as learning any other languages that cross my path.

Sales / Marketing / Customer Service - this has been my vocation for the last 12 years so I would be able to share my knowledge and practices if of interest.

Computer Work - from programmes like Excel & Powerpoint to more complex CRM systems used in business.

Cooking - in my teens I spent a number of years working in kitchens so I am well versed in food prep, cleaning, knife skills, cooking etc.

Music - 20 years experience of drumming. Novice guitar, harmonica player and songwriter.

Animal Care - experience of looking after dogs throughout my life. Able to ride horseback (western style).

English Teacher - recently qualified TEFL teacher with 2 months experience of teaching children in Colombia.
