Ciao! We are David & Ladessa :). It is a pleasure to introduce ourselves. Currently we are travelling separate - please address either one of us if you write to us.

We are very passionate people. We love making new friends, experiencing diverse cultures, sharing stories, and creating memories to hold dear within our hearts. We are excited to immerse ourselves in your lifestyle, get to know you and learn from you. We only hope that we may offer laughs and our own knowledge in return. We are self-reliant, honest and independent people with a love and wonder of life. To us, living is experiencing. Note: We are both Canadian & European Citizens, fully vaccinated, and have no issues traveling between European surrounding countries.

We have travelled with Workaway for a year and a half now, and it has most definitely never been a dull moment. Most likely, the longest year and a half... ever! We have volunteered with various projects including: renovations (building a chicken coop, painting, installations of furniture etc.), landscaping work (masonry projects, gardening, seeding, etc.), villa airbnb relations, teaching English, sculpting apprenticeships, cooking baking experimentation... and the learning is endless!

Alberto is truly a one of a kind artist. He has so much knowledge and skill when it comes to his craft. He has worked with every type of material you can think of and it is truly inspiring to see him work with the intense focus he has.

Working in a studio is very different from the average way of life, there is a constant creation happening… read more around you, a constant discussion on how to perfect the current objective, how to improve, and how to move forward with the sculpture. Always after working in the studio, Alberto makes fantastic food all the time and loves to share it with his guests. I thoroughly enjoyed cooking with Alberto and preparing the lunches and dinners. It seemed as though every day I learned a simple thing about cooking that was hidden the day before. He has a great way of revealing the simplicity to you in many aspects of life.

You will meet many unique and fascinating people whom all were extremely welcoming and generous towards me, truly wonderful people. My italian is not very good but I eventually found my way to communicate, everybody was very kind and understanding if I did not understand or could not say what i wanted to. I cannot forget to mention, Oliva, the lovely little cat that lingers in and out of the studio. She loves Tuna and she'll love you if you give her some.

All in all, Thank you again Alberto for the sensational experience and for helping me to create my first sculpture which is now in the birthplace of a great artist we both admire. Hope to see you in the future, best of luck with everything. Siamo Immortale!

Alberto è davvero un artista gentile. Ha così tante conoscenze e abilità quando si tratta della sua arte. Ha lavorato con ogni tipo di materiale che le viene in mente e che è davvero ispirante vederlo lavorare con l'intenso attenzione che ha.

Lavorare in uno studio è molto diverso dal modo di vita medio, si verifica una creazione costante attorno a te, una discussione costante su come perfezionare l'obiettivo attuale, come migliorare e come andare avanti con la scultura. Sempre dopo aver lavorato in studio, Alberto prepara sempre del cibo fantastico e ama condividerlo con i suoi ospiti. Mi sono goduto di cucinare con Alberto e preparare i pranzi e le cene. Sembrava che ogni giorno imparassi una cosa semplice sulla cucina che era nascosta il giorno prima. Ha un grande modo per rivelare la semplicità a te in molti aspetti della vita.

Incontrerete molte persone uniche e affascinanti che tutti erano estremamente accoglienti e generose nei miei confronti, gente davvero meravigliosa. Il mio italiano non è molto buono, ma alla fine ho trovato il modo di comunicare, tutti erano molto gentili e comprensivi se non avessi capito o non potevo dire quello che volevo. Non posso dimenticare di dirti, Oliva, la adorabile gattina che continua a entrare e uscire dallo studio. Ama Tona e ti amerà se glielo dai.

In tutto, grazie ancora Alberto per l'esperienza sensazionale e per avermi aiutato a creare la mia prima scultura che ora è nella sede di nascita di un grande artista che entrambi ammiriamo. Spero di vederti in futuro, buona fortuna con tutto. Siamo Immortale!
