Hey there :)
i’m Daniel, german from Cologne, doing workaway several years already.
I worked in Yoga-Retreats, Hostels, Hotels, Camping Sides, helped tourists booking trips and renting bikes, gardening, Dogs-Cats-Monkey Petsitting, painting a boat in New York City (Yankee Ferry NYC), feeding deers in a Ayahuasca Church deep in the mexican jungle, taking care about million dollar mansions incl. dogs and garden in France and Langkawi , teaching Yoga in a Hostel in Florianopolis (Brazil) and so much more... This platform helps me to explore the world in a way i never could imagine :)

While traveling, i do some german language Online Teaching (8-10am and evenings) and can teach you my motherlanguage as well. I am a certified Yogateacher as well...
Most of the time as a workawayer i do gardening, cleaning, painting, wood work etc. I like working outside and working in a garden (if you want to know what i prefer to do).
But helping in the kitchen, cooking and making bread is also something i enjoy.

5 Hours working daily (Mo-Fr)
It's the workaway way, working 5 hours daily. I prefer working from 10-3:30pm and have my lunch after work (and just a 30min break at 12pm).

4 Hours working daily (Mo-Fr)
Some hosts asked me if i can prepare my own food (breakfast, lunch, dinner) by myself. That's ok for me, but because it takes time to prepare and cook, i only work 4 hours if the host want me to do my own cooking.

3 hours working daily (Mo-Fr)
I had also hosts, who don't want to pay for water/food/ groceries/ toilettepaper (actually to have 0 costs) and offer therefore to work only 3 hours daily. That's absolute ok with me as well.

I came as a workawayer to teach german for a month and then Covid-19 came. Very grateful Richard allowed me to stay and live there, even when the school was closed. I stayed one month at Bara's lovely place in the hills near San Francisco. The view was the best i ever had, you see not only the Skyline of SF but also the sunset right in front of you! I stayed one month in this beautiful Camp Side next to a big lake (warm enough for swimming). It was great, very calm, quiet, stunning nature, i could use the Kajak, Paddelboard or boat for free whenever i wanted , had excellent fiberglas WiFi and very nice Hosts. Daniel was an excellent work exchanger. He is a good communicator and always checks in about the hours he is available (he needs to teach German online for an hour or so on some days). He was an great assistant, very patient, and always stuck around until the work was finished. He was great about clean up. Daniel is also very friendly.
